In the mood for some great sushi? Have a taste for Ramen? Well, then you cannot go wrong by giving Miyabi Asian Fusion a try (for lunch or dinner). For me, it was dinner. I stopped by there the day after New Year's and they did not disappoint!
With a full bar in-house, I opted for some hot sake while I perused through their menu. There were plenty of offerings, but I felt like having some Ramen and sushi and I wanted to see how this new spot would fare - seeing as they are so close to home.
While I waited for my food (I ordered takeout) I had a great conversation with Farah, the owner. I loved her friendly attitude and welcoming spirit. There's no doubt that 2, 3, or 5 years from now, she'll reflect that same friendly and warm disposition.
The mood of the restaurant was quiet, and low-key, but not empty, which, given how new they are to the neighborhood, was surprising. Because if you're not paying attention, you could drive right by them. They are situated inside the shopping center off of Vance Jackson and Huebner, right near a Starbucks, which is a good location because you will definitely see them on a morning coffee run and hopefully you remember that they are there, later that evening when you don't feel like cooking 😉.
In no time, my order was ready, and if the presentation counts - AND IT DOES - then Miyabi is firing on all cylinders!!!
With what has to be the most impressive packaging I have EVER seen for any takeout service, I simply can not say enough about their to-go bags!!! 😯😯😯 As you'll see in the photos, you might just go there just to get one of these (reusable) bags with your order. They are not just attractive, they are functional, and wonderfully lined to assist with temperature retention. My drive home was super short, but still, it was nice to see that there was no leakage from any of the dishes inside the bag - that matters!
And... if you order delivery, you won't have to be concerned about that Grub-hub guy sticking his grubby little fingers inside your bag 😬
Overall, my experience here was enjoyable enough for me to not only return but to spread the word by writing this review (and by leaving some of their menus at the coffee bar in my building).
Twelve days later, I plan on returning here this week, but I wanted to follow up with how the food was. EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT!!!
I had two rolls - the Rainbow and Thunder, the Spicy Kimchi Pork Ramen, and the Crispy Brussel Sprouts, which I practically inhaled. If you think I'm wrong about them, then you're not paying attention. With over 130 reviews so far, Miyabi currently holds a perfect 5-star rating here on Google Maps reviews.
So the only question I have for you is... "What are YOU having for dinner...
Read moreThis place never misses! (Scroll down for summary) This is the same as a previous restaurant asoko, just a different owner and menu, but it’s amazing.. probably even better! We ordered Korean fried chicken and the rock chicken as appetizers. The Korean fried chicken was nice and crispy with gochugang or chili paste on it, while the rock chicken was a tempura chicken that was nice and airy! Then we order some sushi rolls, Marilyn Monroll, lava fire roll (forgot name) and green peace. The Marilyn Monroll had white tuna and spicy crunchy tuna inside, would recommend! The lava fire roll was set on fire before we ate which was amazing to watch, but it was not just looks but taste as well! It had snow crab and tasted amazing, would also recommend. The green peace roll had asparagus, sweet potato, and some other veggies with soy paper. We ordered duck Japanese fried rice (there is Japanese and Korean rice) which you could really taste the duck and it was a great dish! The other thing we ordered was beef soba and it had an amazing taste, it was a stir fry with nice soft steak. For dessert we had fried ice cream that I got on the house for my birthday, and a Japanese crepe which both were amazing! They had a nice taste, not too sweet not too bland. The service by waiters were amazing as well, they were really friendly and treated us like family! They even packed our meals for us would recommend! SUMMARY: Awesome appetizers, great sushi, amazing dinner food, top notch service, no wait, friendly, and just an 5 star...

The Volcano Roll was an absolute showstopper, served with flames for a dramatic and exciting touch. Beyond the spectacle, the roll itself delivered with bold, balanced flavors that made it one of the best I’ve ever had.
Another highlight was the Naruto Roll. Not only was it delicious, but it was also designed with incredible attention to detail, styled to resemble something straight out of the Naruto anime. It’s rare to see such creativity and care in sushi presentation, and it really added a unique element to the meal.
What really sets Miyabi apart is the genuine, personal experience. Speaking with the chefs was a highlight—they’re clearly passionate about their craft and eager to share their love for sushi. It made the meal feel special and memorable.
