I ordered one green chile chicken kolache, one meatball kolache and one strawberry/cream cheese kolache. All were delicious! The green chile chicken was unexpected and absolutely superb; the baker did a really beautiful job on that one. I ordered it because the customer in front of me ordered three to go. When I asked him if that was the one he liked, he emphatically said it was his favorite. That's all I needed to hear. The meatball was nice without too much sauce so it wasn't messy. The strawberry/cream cheese was like a pillowy danish; it was a great way to round out the meal.

I had a chance to speak with the owner. He told me that they are family-owned, and they enjoy testing different recipes. It seems that many people come in for the standard flavors and are delightfully surprised by the available variety. He was very patient when I asked about ingredients in different options. I appreciated his taking the time to talk to me.

I enjoyed being in the location. Several people who came and went while I was there were familiar with the menu and the staff. It was clean and cozy. The decor was lovely. I will...

I know everyone likes West TX Kolaches. But I couldn't get to West, TX and a neighbor of mine (in Pennsylvania) suggested Kolache Stop as a good option. I went and got an assortment while in San Antonio....and the people working seemed to be the owners, as they were very nice, informed and when I didn't get a certain flavor, they took care of me. I couldn't wait to try them. So I tried one in the car on the way back to share with my family. It was SOooo good! I like the cream cheese with fruit. So yummy! I wish I could have gone everyday. I'll definitely go again when I'm in San Antonio. I went early and they were selling fast. The owner said I could have called ahead and they'd have prepared a box....or made some more. So...next time. I'm ordering ahead to be sure my family favorites are available! The cinnamon roll I got was also so good...and big! Oh....and the pictures they have posted are exactly what they look like. And note the shop is sort of hidden back in the shopping center...

Definitely our favorite kolache shop. Lines are long, but it moves fast. The owner is always there attending to each customer, making small talk, which always makes it that more personable. I have tried numerous fruit kolaches, including their cream cheese fruit (blueberry cream cheese is my favorite!) , the hazelnut - oh my deliciousness, jalapeño cheese, cinnamon rolls (hands down, the best) and we have never been disappointed. The bread is always fresh, plenty flavorful, and full of filling. This is an original kolache shop that specializes in KOLACHES, so your visit here will not disappoint you. When we have family/friends that come visit us, they ALWAYS make a last day stop before heading back home. This is the kind of baked goods that can be warmed up the following day and still have that same fresh taste. Try to get there early…they run out of the customer “favorites” quite quickly, even though we always find something new to try and always satisfied...

We love Kolache stop! We go here for breakfast regularly and food is always spot on. The kolaches are fresh and delicious. My favorites are sausage jalapeño, egg cheese potato and egg bacon cheese. The sweet ones with cream cheese and fruit are delicious as well. The coffee is really good as well. Whenever we have family or friends over we take them here and they are always very pleased. The staff is super friendly and their smile make the day better. This is one of our favorite staples and is just a perfect place for a quick delicious breakfast!

Much cheaper alternative to a quick coffee and food than Starbucks, and just next door too! Got a near foot-long sausage colache and a large coffee for $6.50! My new morning pick me up stop. The kolache was tasty and just what I would expect. The coffee is bare bones, straight coffee and creamer with sugar or sweetener. But it still does the job. Across the street you would be looking at $12.50 minimum for the same order
