Normally the site of an abandoned or defunct or closed down restructured renovated Jack in the Box almost brings me to tears because of the love I have for the tacos all that brings me to tears. I was very disgruntled and very put out at the thought of Mr juicy being in a defunct Jack in the Box at the corner of San Pedro and Hildebrand and it's been here quite a few years and I waited quite a few years to come and try it today and I was not disappointed! My husband and I have the number one double cheeseburger with french fries and a drink. The french fries were all uniformly cut annoyingly practically all the same size all the same same thickness with a delightful to the eyes almost TV light color Hugh to the tuber. The bun with toasted just so and I do mean just right. The bun caught all the juices there was no annoying drip there was no mess and let me tell you the cheese was so perfectly melted when I place the first bite of burger in my mouth the cheese coated the roof of my mouth and my tongue quite evenly in a most heavenly and decadent fashion. They did me a great service by putting the lettuce on the side it was perfection. Normally when I go into a restaurant and they have funky sodas like at torchy's where you're looking around like what is this where's the coke? And you end up opting for unsweet tea LoL... But on top of having the obscure organic funky named drinks you're saved by coke diet Coke and topo Chico! We also ordered the Dole whip. They forgot to put it in our bag but we weren't angry at it as I had my first bite of Mr juicy in line waiting to receive my dessert. All I have to say is come here it is heaven and quite frankly as the side of the building says it is the second most fun between two buns... Actually I'm pretty old so it's actually the only fun between two buns I wish to have... At my age I'd rather have a good cheeseburger than sex anyday! Come here! Come here to eat!! I literally live across the street from the Northwest Military location and I can tell you that I will start the line at midnight the night before they open in my PJs and Cartman from South Park slippers! Everything just seems right they say that when you do something right you should stick to it that way you can continue to excel. Mr juicy does just that! They're focused on their burgers they're dedicated to their burgers and the girl with the nose ring was easy on the eyes and very polite even if she was taking orders while simultaneously handing us our forgotten Dole whip. The experience was everything. We were dedicated my husband and I to this food review so much so that we sat in our car with the air conditioning running do pig out and Chow Down. This will now be one of my regular stops on the weekend as well as a 3 to 4 day a week occurrence when they open across the street from my house. Thank you Mr juicy you did right by us! If anyone tries to defame you please reach out to me and I will set them straight. 10 minutes have passed since we finished our burgers and fries and dove into our delicious crisp Diet Cokes with no ice and my husband said BABE LOOK! We had asked for two spoons to share the Dole whip I immediately reached for the cute Blue spoon and left my husband with the plane boring white spoon. Much to our surprise his white spoon is turning blue from the cold of the desert. IT'S A COLOR CHANGING SPOON Y'ALL!!!!! All told, we now know why everyone is always so happy when we see them smiling in the windows of this obscure and funky little burger joint. Next visit wet sauce!! Also on a side note when I put the lettuce on my burger it made the Little mascot my husband brought it to my attention that my curly leaf lettuce made a mustache and I took photos and added them my burger legit looked like the animated mascot!! This was most definitely a flawless and perfect experience. And for those of you who are wondering, with the Dole whip like this, who needs the expense of Hawaii? I actually let it melt a little bit and drink it instead of eating it with a spoon and it was...
Read moremy experience at mr juicy was one that i didn’t care for and i don’t think i’ll be back. the burger was excellent. however the service was not good. i use to manage a burger place so i know how this goes. but what i saw was just bad. i witnessed the cashier give out the wrong change and presumably not care to fix the problem after the customer told him. the cashier was also wearing a beatles shirt and nike hat so you couldn’t tell if he walked in off the street or he actually worked there. my burgers were made wrong when im not sure how. i asked for 2 cheeseburgers with sauce on side . i walked back up and asked for a side of jalepenos, the cashier did not state that the jalapeño ls that they serve isn’t a actual side of sliced japs, it’s infact ONE grilled jalapeño.kind of like if you were gonna girl a poblano for a salsa. strange because how would anyone know that or assume that’s what the would be getting ? when i got home only one burger had L&T and the jalepenos that i had asked for on the side was on the other burger with no L&T. furthermore, this same cashier that took my order also gave the guy in front of me the wrong change and didn’t give him a ticket so when the guy came back inside to ask where his food was and the staff realized the guy wasn’t givin a ticket, they verbally assult the cashier in front of the entire restaurant. that was completely unprofessional and out of line. i was near the window yet i could hear the manager screaming at the cashier behind the counter telling him that he needs to make sure he give everyone a ticket and that it’s unacceptable that he didn’t . IN FRONT OF A RESTAURANT FULL OF PEOPLE THEY DID THIS TO THIS CASHIER. it was disgusting to witness. we all make mistakes but as a former manager, you take someone to the back and do that or do it later on . not in front of everyone . because had that been MY child that yall were screaming at in front of guests, and he came home from work and told me that, oh me and mr juicy would have a big problem. that is all. most likely won’t come back. i have given places with sub par food a second try because of impeccable service . and i've also never looked twice again at a place with great food b/c of terrible service and that seems where im at with...
Read moreWe called ahead to ask if they were serving the chicken fried steak; which they were. Upon arrival there were only a few cars in the lot, but walking into the restaurant revealed limited seating. The staff immediately greeted us warmly, letting us know the additional menu options that included our sought after chicken fried steak. We ordered and were able to secure 1 of the 6 tables inside (there were a few tables outside). While waiting, 3-4 groups arrived and seating became an issue. The chicken fried steak served on a bed of fries was served quickly (5-10 min). I tasted a fry first and it was crispy and seasoned well. I cut off a piece of chicken fried steak and it absolutely burned my mouth. I wanted to spit it out but since patrons were so close I didn’t want to be rude to them or the cook. I should’ve spit it out though; not because of taste, just the piping hot temperature of the steak. It tasted delicious!! I continued to cut off pieces of the steak but found it challenging since the bed of fries didn’t provide a steady surface to cut easily. As I continued cutting the breading separated from the steak but I pieced together the crispy breading with the meat. Let me be clear, everything was delicious!! Breading was crispy, steak was tasty, and fries were mostly crispy and seasoned. My issues were 1) I burned my mouth on the first bite and it ruined my experience 2) I really don’t want fries with a chicken fried steak, I want mashed potatoes 3) I felt obligated to hurry up and eat to allow others to sit down and enjoy. I don’t know if the piping hot food is my fault or theirs, but I’d imagine that you need to allow most foods to rest before serving. Unfortunately, the whole meal wasn’t its full potential because I burned the roof of my mouth on that first bite and every bite afterwards just irritated that burn. As I write this review 8 hours later, my mouth is still affected. All in all the food was delicious and service was great. I wish they had mashed potatoes and a larger dining area. Next time I won’t eat the entree so soon and get the...
