Update: this place is now called "Nasta" and I need to step down on rating this place because having multiple bad experiences despite trying to work with the order takers and explaining what I am wanting. They been serving higher spice level even after mentioning it and giving incomplete orders on togo.
Given they have good food quality but failing to listen to customer ask is a big upset. Ordered Chicken 65 and I was served fried chTogo. Nugget (chicken pakora) a very disappointing fact to not know how Chicken 65 is served.
This review hope reaches to the right person of this food truck and hope decides to do something.
Mirchi on Wheels Food Truck Review
A Hidden Gem in San Antonio
I was pleasantly surprised by Mirchi on Wheels, an Indian food truck that has taken over a previous spot. This venture, led by passionate food-loving engineers, aims to ignite taste buds with unique flavors and quality.
Standout Dishes
Ghee Roast Chicken Pulav: Flavorful cooked in ghee and unique masala. It's kind of their own. Ghee Idli: Soft, buttery, and divine. Karram Dosa: Crispy perfection.
Room for Improvement
Consistency: My last Ghee Roast Chicken Pulav was dry and lacked masala. Mirchi Shrimps: Overcooked, making them chewy.
Mirchi on Wheels has won me over with its bold flavors and different taste of south India. While consistency is a challenge, I'm excited to return and try more dishes. Kudos to the entrepreneurial engineers behind...
Read moreI recently visited this food truck and tried the Idly, Mysore Bonda, Dosa, and Paneer Pulav for dine-in. The experience had its highs and lows.
The peanut chutney initially had a sour note, almost like it was leftover from the day before. Fortunately, they prepared a fresh batch later, and it tasted excellent. The wait time for the food was longer than expected. The Dosa was flavorful and well-made, but the Idly was quite hard—not the soft texture you'd hope for. Mysore Bonda had potential but needed a bit more cooking time. It wasn’t bad, but could've been better. The Paneer Pulav was disappointing, and I wouldn't order it again.
If you’re planning to visit, I recommend going earlier in the day—the food quality seems noticeably fresher...
Read moreWe were looking for South Indian restaurant and pleasantly just stumbled upon this food truck! Such a wonderful experience!
Highly recommend this food truck. It is authentic South Indian (Andhra) food. Our 4 & 6yr olds loved the masala dosa. The Gobhi Manchurian was amazing! We had another kind of dosa with their specialty dry chutney in it called “Guntur… Keravu…” (sorry we are butchering the name), but that was amazing! The stuffed mirchi was amazing!! Service was excellent! They gave us complimentary chai and mango sheera for kids. All in all an amazing find! We will be...
