New Asia Halal Foods — Restaurant in San Antonio

Years ago... THIS WAS THE PLACE!!!! Today walked in and whole place is dark... No body in dinning area... It's a ghost town!!! I loved their food... Wish they would stay open because most places have NOTHING on them as far as food guality ... But today I was treated as a bother, interruption... I asked if they had Wasabi... The woman at front desk looked at me and treated me like I was out of my mind for asking...

Because clearly the customer service is NOT what it was .. 😭😩 .. so sad... New Asia was my most favorite...and who I recommend everyone to go to...

I hope the food is what it used to be..

Update... They used to have fresh sliced cucumber and wasabi... (No longer)... Ok... Food is DELICIOUS!

Let hope the lack of customer service doesn't do them in... 😞

The food is decent and the atmosphere is pretty great. However, its good qualities can often be easy to forget when meeting the staff which can either have no personality, of come off as rude, seemingly inconvenienced by your presence in their restaurant as they try to get you out as fast as possible. The menu can be very confusing, with items such as their "chow mein" being a vegetable meat mix rather than noodles, while most other items are identical to other items with very minor details changed to make the menu appear to have more variety than it truly does. In addition to all of this the bathroom appears to have not seen a single drop of cleaning chemical in years, making me question if it would be more sanitary just to skip washing my hands all together instead of touching the disgusting sink. Fried rice is bomb. Great rangoon.. the place has upgraded and looks beautiful inside but since the Chinese lady had left, the service is horrible. The counter person who answers the phone is not good. He has a hard time understanding what you requested. Lately the food has been lukewarm and to go orders are nor packed correctly. Fried items should be separate from the other items so they stay crispy. Received soggy Rangoon and egg roll evertime. The rice seems hard and old like it's not freshly made. I think they need a different to go box as well, or just use the classic Chinese box. These Styrofoam containers they use are cheap and fall apart everytime. For how expensive it is it should have a sturdier container. After returning the food it was made fresh, it was hot and all fried items...
