After a 2 year intentional avoidance due to poor food & service, I reluctantly gave this location another try (12/25/23) - BIG mistake. An overall dissatisfying dining nightmare. After greeted by the hostess, we self-seated at the bar (#106) & waited an overly extended time just to be waited upon &/or acknowledged. After the unattentive bartender/waiter got our bar drink & soda order wrong & a soda drink was undrinkable (pure carbonation), we returned both with explanations & settled for water/s. After ordering an appetizer & waiting a lengthy time for it, we inquired, we were told that the kitchen was way behind & backed up, due to the over-whelming overload. We mentioned that the restaurant was at or below 15% capacity & that included ONLY one large 2 table group (25 people) & we were never informed or notified of this upon entering or at our drink order of this problem. Since being there & the prolonged waiting, we elected to continue & also advance pre-order our entrees. The entrees were sub-par at best, either under-cooked or over-cooked. Since it was the endless shrimp special for us, we continued to order in advance, to out-way the wait or unwanted bad (undesirable) food. We had to ask for the non-offered biscuits & had to wait almost to the end of dining for any additional. The mac & cheese side was brought out during the end of the second re-order, but was the unfortunate best dish of the night. Lastly, upon paying, the audacity to try and charge for both refused/returned drinks, which after some discussion was reluctantly removed. An establishment (Red Lobster), that can't handle this size crowd capacity, should either post, notify, refuse further acceptance or close the doors. I can see why this location had ONLY this capacity there, due to their service, food & lack of any customer relations - (meaning: a manager or asst. manager), per the situation or scenario, we never requested, but never saw either. After an awful dining experience of 2+ hours, we realized why we don't go here & most of the online reviews, agree. This problematic location should be being noticed by management above the local store manager's level & corporately rectified or closed,...
Read moreIt was the worst food experience I think I've ever had. We had 6 adults and a child. First of all our waitress missed 3 people's orders. When we got our appetizers, the calamari was terribly salty. I don't know why they changed the way it was with the broccoli and peppers with it. The seafood stuffed mushrooms had a weird mushy texture and the spicy shrimp was ok but that wasn't my choice because I don't care for spicy stuff. I ordered the 2 lobster tails and added a 1/2 pound of snow crab legs. The rock lobster tail was mush. I got my steak knife to cut a piece and the lobster disintegrated. I took a bite and it was mush. I took one more bite in a different spot and same thing. The Maine lobster tail was ok. When I told my waitress she apologized and walked away and I thought ok so what's happening now? She came back later and said I told someone about your lobster tail and then she stopped talking and I said ok so what are you going to do about it? There was an awkward silence and she looked at some other members of our dinner party like I was nuts. I said well this is inedible, you're not going to take care of this? She said I can give you a free dessert. Why would I take a free dessert when the lobster tail costs twice as much as a dessert? So I said if you need me to talk to a manager I can. She said no let me see what I can do. Someone else came up to me and showed me on my receipt where they credited me $14. We did however still pay for 2 desserts which I was told were quite good. The sad thing is I used to really love Red Lobster but something has happened to them. And it's not just this time. About 3 years ago we had a terrible experience and I said I'm never going back there. I thought let me give it another try. Nope. Never again. This is the 2nd bad experience and it was not the same Red Lobster. It's not a one off. They are just terrible now. And when your bill is $300 you kind of want things to be right....
Read moreFor my husbands birthday dinner he wanted Red Lobster. Horrible service. Sat 2 other groups of guests before acknowledging we there and we were first. Not a big deal but should at least check on who's next. Service was slow and when the server brought our food he dropped part of my husband's crab legs on the floor, then scooped the food that was sliding off the plate with his bare hands and served it, never offering to replace the food, just left it on the floor. Baked potatoes were so burned that the skins were like crunchy hallow shells. The famous biscuits were also burned and were just dry bisquick type, none of the butter or cheese that they are famous for. The shrimp and lobster tacos had no lobster and they were so spicy that they were inedible. Not one bite was taken and they were all on the table. Server didnt ask if we needed a box or if there was something wrong with the untouched food. The bill was a whopping $117 for 1 seafood dish, 1 taco plate, 2 orders of chicken strips. Needless to day, we will NEVER go back.
UPDATE: They did respond to the negative reviews and sent an ecard a partial refund of the dinner. I appreciate that they acknowledged the issue and I hope they improve but I still dont see myself going back. My husband will probably use the credit a...
