Sorry to say it was my second time coming to this restaurant and it was a bad experience. The first time was when it was newly opened. Today, I went by with two collages for a quick meeting and lunch. My collage arrived first and was sitted at a table with plenty of space and ready. As I arrived, a waitress arrived about 5 minutes after and asked what our reason for the table setting was, a table with 6 chairs. My collage explained it was for a meeting, and she quickly added that she did ask ahead of time from the greeter for permission and made sure it was okay. The waitress also asked for the length of time of our meeting. Well the waitress decided to move us because more guests may arrive and may need the table so she took us to a corner table. ( Take in mind this was 1 hour and a half prior to closing) she gave us a small table, and we were still waiting on another person, and we had notebooks to look at. We asked her if we could change due to the limited space, and she, in return, said she had to ask her manager. The table we asked for was next to the table she had moved us to. So, it's not that far away just one step away. The waitress never stopped to ask the greeter, or the greeter never came over to back up my collages story. None of the two gave that customer service that everyone has raved about. There was hardly anyone in the place eating. She could have just let us have our time and paid for our lunch because we were going to be paying customers. We walked out and went somewhere else. It was so complicated for an hour meeting and lunch. Maybe she didn't want to work.
update: I'm sorry we didn't ask for music to be turned down. There is nothing about music in my comments. We didn't ask for special care. We just wanted to meet and it was a very informal meeting that's why we met there to eat and talk. If we wanted no music we should have stayed at the office. Im sorry, but the waitress lied and was not truthful. We started at a table with people around us and we were fine , your waitress moved because aptently more people were coming. We didn't want to move, we were fine. We asked for permission to stay. Your greeter even placed us there because there was a possibility that the far end table wouldn't have a server. Again no communication. You want to back up your sever it's fine but at least ask her to tell the truth. WE LEFT BECAUSE SHE MADE US FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE...
Read moreWe came for lunch today 8/2/25. I’m updating my review to drastically lower it due to the quality of food we got today. The overall quality has totally gone downhill.
Fajitas were bland and the peppers really mushy. I ended up ordering enchiladas instead. Enchiladas were smaller and flavorless. Had red tortillas last time this time they were white. I ordered strawberry margarita again and the large size had hardly any flavor added to it. My smaller one last time had so much more.
After today’s experience I don’t think we’ll come back and I won’t recommend it anymore. I’m treating it to 2 ⭐️⭐️
Something has changed and I notice the overall rating is down as well. Spoke to our server about everything. I don’t like writing reviews like this unless I give the restaurant an opportunity to fix it, and they opted not to. He just said he’d let the manager know.
Bathrooms also needed attention. Paper towels were all over in the ladies restroom. Toilets were dirty. ———————————————————————————
BEST Mexican food I’ve had in the 4 years I’ve lived in San Antonio.
The restaurant is clean. The place was very busy but we were seated within a few minutes. We looked over the menu while waiting. We were able to decide what we were going to get.
Many of us ordered the enchiladas. I ordered the “Enchiladas de Cilantro”. We also ordered the queso for an appetizer and tried both kinds of salsa (we ended up mixing them together).
The prices are great!! Generous portions.
The margarita was amazing. All dinners came with tortillas on the side.
Fabulous service.
We will be back for sure and will recommend to all...
Read moreI have been coming to this restaurant from a very young age, and as the first time coming back in 10 years, I was very disappointed that I was not allowed to come in. I raved and hyped up this restaurant to my friends who haven't been to San Antonio before, and we planned to come in as soon as it opened because I know this place gets full quick, due to the food being very good, and as expected we got there right at opening hour and there was 2 other parties waiting as well ahead of us. As soon as the doors open, we were greeted by the manager, who allowed the 2 parties in front of us to sit at their table, and as we came up to her, she stopped us and asked if we had a face mask, to which none of us had. At which point she told us we would not be seated unless we had a mask. I proceeded to ask for an explanation of why was a mask necessary since we were eating, her response was that they required it to walk in to your table as your being seated(less than 10 ft to get to a table). In confusion I asked why the 2 other parties were allowed in and seated even though they didn't have facemasks on, it caught her off guard and she completely ignored my question. I realized at that moment she clearly did not want my business and we walked away hungry. I will also mentioned that before we came, we called ahead to make sure they were allowing dine in or they had any restrictions, since we understand that policies differ from business to business. We were told we were allowed to dine in with no...
