La Pina Fruteria — Restaurant in San Antonio

Absolutely one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve encountered. I placed an order through DoorDash and when it arrived the items were incorrect. I ordered two blue coconut flavored Italian ice with one scoop of vanilla ice cream in each. Both were missing the scoops of ice cream. I attempted to contact the store to have issue rectified. I was willing to pay again to have the order redelivered. All I wanted to ensure was that they could make it as I requested. The employee, a girl, proceeded to hang up on me without finding a solution to the problem. I made a second to reach out immediately after and no one would pick up. I decided to go out of my way to go in person to address the matter. She wanted to give me a single cup of vanilla ice cream to take back home to my melted order.at me just say if I wanted a cup of plain vanilla ice cream I would’ve stayed home and got some H‑E‑B creamy creations ice cream and saved myself the trouble. She refused to correct the problem. She would not remake the items. She contacted the manager via phone and the only thing they offered to do was call DoorDash. This was not a reasonable solution as this had nothing at all to do with DoorDash. The error was on their end. HORRIBLE,...

I wanted to try this location as my dental hygienist was raving all about this frutería and how great it was. I would never recommend this place as a person who knows their fruterías and I travel across town to get the best at a great price. Their fruit cups were something you can get at heb and super expensive for one little cup with a chili powder that is not one you would put on a fruit cup. I tried a mangonada and it was generic tasting. The whole thing tasted like tamarindo. Idk if it was the chamoy and the “chili powder” but would never get again. And my sister had a chango and once again not up to par. She took a couple of sips and didn’t want the rest. Way too expensive for a product that doesn’t taste good. I can say the location was clean.

If someone is wanting a great fruit cup where they pack the fruit way past the large cup for less than they charge here. I HIGHLY recommend Frutería La Mission on E white. Everything there is soo good, my fav is Fresas con crema aside everything else there....

As much as I want to give it a 5 stars because we enjoy some of their products their open timing is inconsistent. According to their door and google they open at 9am. Today (Sunday, January 17, 2021) they turned on the outside music at 8:56am and yet at 9:12am their door is closed. SMH* I'm headed elsewhere if they keep doing this as I can't stick around till they decide to open their doors. I mean no point in turning the music on if they aren't open. Can't recommend. Also they don't answer the phone to ask them if they are open or what time will they open today it just keeps ringing.

Reply to Owner: Your hours posted literally at the door entrance doesn't reflect the change either so don't blame the adjustment on solely Google. I understand hours change and not always to trust Google but your physical store failed to update the hours posted AT YOUR PHYSICAL LOCATION. Now this makes me wonder what else your store or...
