On 30 June 2014 I used the promo code HOMERUN to receive a free pizza after a $15 purchase online. When I finally went to redeem the free pizza promo on 18 July 2014 I discovered that the promo expired 13 July 2014 (less than 14 days after my purchase). The description of the promo did not make it clear that the promotion expired 13 July 2014.
I immediately called my local Papa John's where I had originally made the purchase to ask if they would still honor the promo even though it had expired. They told me that they cannot honor it however they would give me the number for their customer service to see if they can provide me further assistance. When I called this number it asked me to complete a survey by pressing 1 or 2 to enter for a chance to win a "free cruise" on behalf of a promo with Papa John's (all they required was $60 per person to cover taxes). Well it turns out this was just a scam by some other company or individual with a number similar to the Papa John's customer service number. I called the Papa John's store back to ask about the number they had originally gave me and I was transferred to the regional manager who gave me the correct number. After calling that number all they would offer me is 50% off my next purchase. They stated although it was unfortunate that I was almost scammed out of $60+ due to their managers mistake, they could not offer me a free pizza to honor their promo that I had participated in.
I filed an incident report and was immediately contacted by the regional manager in charge of this store. The regional manager told me that he tried calling the number but he received a voice message saying that the number was invalid. Before this conversation I had called this number twice from my phone (worked both times prompting me to complete the survey) and on the third time it immediately hung up on me after ringing. I then called it again from another phone and it worked. The regional manager expressed his disappointment about me receiving the wrong number but stated that he was unable to honor the promo. He explained that because it had expired all that they could do is offer 50% off my next pizza.
I will not be shopping at Papa John's anymore. I find this completely unacceptable. It is not so much about the promo code expiring but rather the fact that their management made a mistake that could have cost me a lot of money and all they were "able" to do was offer me 50% off my...
Read moreI am on retreat for church, and contacted thg is Papa John's in May and spoke to the.manager and asked if he would donate 5 pizzas for our organization, he agreed 3 pepperoni and 2 cheese, I contacted them again a week and also the week of this retreat to confirm, and they had my name and also what time and how many, Ms. Lisa they will be ready at 630. Perfect and thank you so much. So tell me why today the today when i call they don't know anything about it and the so called manager says he can't do free/donated pizza right now. I said wait a min what do u mean. And of course I am feeding people with these 5 donated pizzas, and Yes I admit I raised my voice, and he said well you Sol. You will have to.pay for them. And when I again our of frustration raised my voice he hing up on me. When I called back I asked what the managers name was and I hear the guy say just tell her randall, but yet I hear her say to someone else, the lady wants to.know aarons name. What do I do. This was so unprofessional, and the thing is we pick up from this place atleast 1-2 times a week. So guess what I may not sound like alot to some but when this get around , there are other places who will treat people with respect. I even apologized for raising my voice till he came back at me with his attitude and then hung up. Why are you going to put stipulations on when you can donate after you already agreed....
Read moreI went to pick up my carryout order that I placed and was told they didn't have my order and to go to another papa johns, about 15 min or more since potranco Rd is horrible. I assure her I placed the order here and even show her my confirmation. She still insists I go to the other location. Then another customer comes in for his order and it's not on there screen either. So she calls someone on the phone, about a minute or so later she comes back to the register hits a button on the screen and like magic. All the orders appear. She doesn't apologize for trying to send me away for no reason or even say a word to us, just starts making the food. Fine. Doesn't wash her hands or glove up. Pizzas and breadsticks finally come out the oven, and the worker pulling the pizzas asks the same manager/whatever she is, where the garlic sauce is for the sticks. She hands her a bottle and the woman puts it on and its cream cheese not the sauce, smh. So our pizzas sat 10 to 15 extra minutes while they had to remake the sticks. The woman that was pulling the pizzas(now slammed with orders) had to stop and hand us the food because the manager or whatever, was completely avoiding the front. We've been loyal customers or this location for years and this was the Worst experience here ever. I never leave negative reviews, but this time...
