Delightful Donut — Restaurant in San Antonio

My Boyfriend has been on a search for real Eclairs here ever since he moved from Ohio. I honestly thought SA had great food till I went up North to meet his family, and man are they spoiled and lucky when it comes to comfort foods and bakeries. Its hard to find a real bakery here in SA. My boyfriend loves to remind me that no location here understands what a real Eclair is. We decided to give this place a try since it was listed on an app and when I clicked on the menu Eclair was listed. Big plus was you have the maple one as well. We found one other location we tried couple weeks back, but they only had the chocolate option for their cream stick. I also ordered the big kolaches, cinnamon twists and 2 cappuccinos. I would rate the Kolaches as a 5 star alone. My kids loved them as well as their cinnamon twists. I also loved the maple cream stick (advertised as Eclairs). My boyfriend would probably rate them as a 4 since he told me real Eclairs are made with more of a pastry dough thats firm compared to more donut style dough. I have never had a real eclair so for me I was happy either way. Sadly the cappuccinos were pretty rough. But can't say the price didn't give it away but my boyfriend and I like to give new places and food a try. The cappuccinos were like hospital waiting room put 75 cents into a coffee machine cappuccinos. Its got that thick cream syrupy feel to it with no real quality in flavor. Which is unfortunate. If this place had a real high quality cappuccino machine, I would be more than happy to pay far more for a high quality cappuccino. Its the only reason for one star off. I usually get my coffee fix from another location but sadly their options for donuts and other foods are not as pleasant as the ones here. If this location offered high quality cappuccinos or even mocha lattes I would drop the competition entirely and be happy to pick this location as my go to for the morning. This is the place I go to for kolaches and donuts. The staff is awesome and friendly. The kolaches are larger and have more filling than another local place. The kolaches also have a great sweetness to offset the spicy ones and enhance the other ones. The large kolaches are also really good. My favorite is the boudin. The donuts are delicious. My favorites are the cake donuts, especially their sour cream ones. The filled donuts aren't prefilled so you pick what you want to go in them, increasing your options. They do their donuts and kolaches well... you can't get much more than...

Came to this store to pick up some donuts and realized I forgot my wallet! I was panicking trying to come back and the girl at the front asked me if I had apply pay which I did. Really appreciate her for saving me a trip and for them to have the capability to accept Apple Pay!

I loved their blueberry donut. Didn’t get to try other flavors because they got snatched so fast when I brought into my class that morning. Whole 2 dozens gone really fast.
