I was excited to visit the new Donut shop near our home... Unfortunately the staff member that serviced me did not share that sentiment. From the get go she just had this attitude on her face. I get that people get busy but I was one of only two patrons. The selection at 6pm twas super limited. When i asked if that's all they had, even though I could see trays of donuts, never breaking her "just get out of here" expression, answered that's all we have in a monotone unfriendly way. I asked if a particular donut was good... She waited like what seemed like 5 seconds and shrugged her shoulders... "Yeah." I have up on getting a dozen donuts as there was only a selection of like 5 or six different donuts. After giving up on any real assistance or actual inviting service I just picked 3 random flavors for a half dozen donuts. She gave mey total and asked if I was a rewards member... Remember this is a new location ... I said no... She rang me...I asked her what the process was...silence... I asked her what her name was ... After the receipt printed it was only after 8 asked her name dlyhat she tried to be helpful in any way, still with the bad expression but a noticeable change in her voice... Guess it's back to HEB for me. I don't plan on going back. Absolutely Horrible experience! The young lady's name was Jade I believe. She clearly did not want to be there... And now neither do I. I will be passing this down to my friends and family so they don't have to go...
Read moreThis morning I stopped by to get some donuts , I went through drive thru after ordering my order they kept repeating back the incorrect order I said let me drive up so you can understand me better I drive up and the man that came to the window who was not the one taking the order because it was a female that had taken the order said this is what you ordered you’re asking for a dozen I said no sir I asked for 1/2 a dozen and I went on to tell him what I asked for but he would not allow me to speak he kept telling me this what you ordered I just shut up and let him talk because he would not allow me to speak without interruption, at the end he said you know what we have the RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE TO ANYONE so you go on with your day and so I was not able to buy my donuts , it’s upsetting because the one day I decide to get up early to get donuts when I never do this happens I was never rude I never used foul language so why would they refuse service if you’re having such a bad early morning then please don’t work at a donut shop and ruin someone else’s morning, NEVER returning to this location again , how many people are they going to do this to before they go out of business, sadly this was terrible service on behalf of one employee that will ruin the business sales and production just because he feels irritated so early in the morning. Do...
Read moreI was initially really excited to see a Shipleys pop up near base since I grew really fond of the fresh, warm donuts and kolaches at the location in universal city. I noticed the prices were higher at this location by a bit of a large margin but it's a new facility so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and they said their kolaches were much bigger, which is true, but it's all bread and kind of disappointing. However, the worst part is the donuts. They were on an exposed rack, getting cold and drying out. They tasted and had the texture as if they were several days old, which they weren't because I went on their first day open. Yeah I won't be coming back, they make an inferior product compared to their other locations around the city. I saw an article that a California based company bought Shipleys and this was their corporate store in the area and it makes sense now why...
