Unfortunately, usually one of our go to spots that is having major issues and has fallen downhill. The last two visits have been difficult to say the least and now means we will not be frequently this establishment.
This was our once a week go to spot, but the last two visits have had us waiting crazy amounts of time on food and then when getting the food having issues with not what we ordered.
First happened a couple of weeks ago when we ordered two basic things - 2 burgers, 2 tots and 2 drinks. Not a lot of people at this time of night about an hour to closing. We got our drinks and sat...and waited....and waited....and waited. All the while, the grill was putting out burgers right and left, they were packaging them up and sending them out the door. 45-min later after all of the to go orders were done, they were sweeping up the place and closing the door, finally our meal came out. I don't know about you but 45-min for a burger is too long to wait.
Fast forward to this week. We met a friend at location at 6pm. Order in by 6:12 and sitting with drinks waiting for meal. Three other families came in after us, ordered and sat down and then 6 go to orders. Order: 3 burgers (nothing special, cheeseburgers) and 1 order of onion rings.
At 6:35 they served the first group after us with burgers, fries, and onion rings, asked about our food and told next up. They served 3 more groups with appetizers and 3 to go orders. Then another family that ordered after us got their food, 4 burgers, fries, tots and onion rings. Now it 6:43 I ask about our order and told they are working on it, but the onion rings are holding it up. Yet they have served two groups after us with onion rings. Ask for the order to go, because now we are going to have to eat it on the run.
At 6:50 was rudely told by the young woman who was fixing the burgers that I needed to "hold on" and that they were coming as she served 2 more to go orders and the third family after us with 5 burgers, onion rings, tots, fries and several other items on their tray. At 6:52 we finally get 3 burgers and one order of onion rings in a bag and told "I don't know what your problem is it was less than 20min". I asked for the manager and was also told that there wasn't one.
Go figure, explains why their kitchen was so poorly run that it takes 40 minutes to get a couple of fast-food style burgers and a couple of onion rings. With so many burger stop choices in a 1-mile circle, being this slow to produce something that should be out in 10-20 minutes, will be going elsewhere.
Rude staff on top of it was the icing on us finding a new weekly stop regardless if the burger tastes good which is the only reason they got too stars. Sorry folks, wish I had...
Read moreUnfortunately, this was probably my worst visit to this location. It's usually really good. I'm not sure what happened. My rating is solely on this visit. The place was full. An open table was hard to come by. You had to clean the table yourself and push the previous person trash to the corner of the table. A busser eventually came out, but it was after I had already waited for, ate, and was ready to leave. That's too long, especially when you have a full dining room. I had the CFS sandwich with onion rings. The wait wasn't bad, considering how busy they were. Unfortunately, my onion rings were cold & greasy. Greasy, because they had already cooled down. There was no flavor to the batter. It tasted like just plain flour. It needed some s&p. The sandwich was warm and steaming when I took a bite. Even tol the very last bite. Either it was fresh & warm when served, or it was too cold inside the restaurant. The bun was a bit hard on the outside edges. I had to peel it off and put it to the side. I have had a much better experience here on many occasions. I'm not sure what happened. I'll be back. This was not a normal experience. A bad day, maybe? Too busy? Short staffed? It happens. I wish I was writing about my expectations being met or exceeded. That was my...
Read moreMy family and I patronize the 1604/Culebra location regularly. I always see people dining in with to go cups and I know the staff used to hand these out in the past. Monday 4/29 my husband and I visited. I asked if I could have one of the foam cups for my combo meal. The lady that helped us was pretty rude about it. I brushed it off. I was going to pay with my card but my husband paid cash instead. They don’t show a total or receipt until after you pay them, then they hand you a receipt.
After we sat down I noticed a $5 charge on the receipt that says “DIFF”. She did not mention anything about an extra charge for a disposable cup and we don’t see the receipt until after you pay. The website contact us function doesn’t work. I tried reaching out on Facebook but no answers.
I have been back since as my husband loves the burgers. Again nearly all the dine in customers had the disposable cups. I just took the plastic cup this last visit. Just an FYI check your receipt especially if you get this rude cashier. I should have gone back to ask what the $5 was but she was very unpleasant and I honestly just didn’t want to deal...
