Just a doves grow off of traffic strangled, loud, stressful and busy Culebra and Westwood Loop outside loop 1604 is an oasis of quiet sanity and relief, a safe place to let the kids drain of some potent up energy, with lots of area to let them run. Not a lot of services on site but, within walking distance from plenty of places to eat, get a soda and a snack or an entire picnic for 25 people. There are public restrooms, drinking fountains, trash receptacles, a few picnic tables, grills, walking trails, backstops and soccer/football/frisbee/catch places as well as shaded sitting over the picnic tables and pet friendly with disposal. Organized sports practice there during their respective seasons and there is more than enough parking available when multiple teams are on the fields simultaneously and even with multiple sports. Whether you want to take a nice quiet, relaxing walk along this part of the Greenbelt or have a bunch of friends get together and play some football or softball, maybe even check out your kid practicing their favorite sport. Cons are that the only restrooms available are unfortunately port-o-pottys, and a good portion of the trail near this particular entrance doesn't feel very secluded/peaceful due to it being right in the heart of such a busy area. It's can also be a VERY busy trail sometimes (it's located with direct access to an apartment complex in addition to the shopping center)
