Been here a couple of times now, at different times of the day, and I'm not very impressed. There's more ittering than I'm comfortable with. Gives me negative vibes and makes me question my safety as I'm walking. I also wish there were more dirt trails. Concrete hurts my bones. On a positive note, it is peaceful and close to home. All parks bring me inner peace one way or another. Grateful it's available to us all. I also appreciate the dog on a leash rule as someone that has been attacked by one before.

A great place to stretch your legs and to break in a pair of shoes ( hint ). Bring plenty of water on this one. There's an abundance of flora due to the May showers. After 10 minutes walking here you'll feel the need to step it up a bit.. Do It! Not recommend to dwell after dusk here, there is wildlife and we are in their home so please respect and provide space for wildlife. There are many trails to be found at Culebra Creek Park enjoy.

Great place to walk! Be careful to stay out of some people's living room. Very scenic, and secluded. There are portacans at the entrances that were clean. There was trash, but there is trash all over San Antonio. Someone had sorted some of it. That's cool. I'll get some bags one day and try to do my part. I tried to take photos of all the things that are not trash. Enjoy! It was beautiful and reminded me of the woods by my house.

Just a doves grow off of traffic strangled, loud, stressful and busy Culebra and Westwood Loop outside loop 1604 is an oasis of quiet sanity and relief, a safe place to let the kids drain of some potent up energy, with lots of area to let them run. Not a lot of services on site but, within walking distance from plenty of places to eat, get a soda and a snack or an entire picnic for 25 people. There are public restrooms, drinking fountains, trash receptacles, a few picnic tables, grills, walking trails, backstops and soccer/football/frisbee/catch places as well as shaded sitting over the picnic tables and pet friendly with disposal. Organized sports practice there during their respective seasons and there is more than enough parking available when multiple teams are on the fields simultaneously and even with multiple sports. Whether you want to take a nice quiet, relaxing walk along this part of the Greenbelt or have a bunch of friends get together and play some football or softball, maybe even check out your kid practicing their favorite sport. Culebra Creek Park has it all and the best part, is there is usually a pretty decent, cool breeze because, it's at a lower elevation than all of its surroundings and the late afternoon shade from the three story apartment complex...

This park used to be nice and little by little starter to feel less safe. Now, you've added Crystalline silica on the ballfield which has been classified as a human lung carcinogen. Breathing crystalline silica dust can cause silicosis, which in severe cases can be disabling, or even fatal. The respirable silica dust enters the lungs and causes the formation of scar tissue, thus reducing the lungs’ ability to take in oxygen. So why did you add this to the park? Where children play? Sounds a lot like when houses used to have lead based paint, but no one will do anything about it unless parents...

Definitely a good park! The walking trail is ample and runs quite a distance. Cons are that the only restrooms available are unfortunately port-o-pottys, and a good portion of the trail near this particular entrance doesn't feel very secluded/peaceful due to it being right in the heart of such a busy area. It's can also be a VERY busy trail sometimes (it's located with direct access to an apartment complex in addition to the shopping center)

If you are into nature and have the time, drive up the road to cathedral rock. If you just need a solid regular walking spot close to home,...
