I recently visited Laika, a charming bakery known for its exquisite range of cheesecakes and delightful coffee selections. The variety is impressive, with options ranging from single serve jars to traditional slices.

My choice was the "Picnic in Space" cheesecake, a blend of vanilla, lemon, and blueberry layers on a perfectly crunchy graham cracker crust. Each bite was a harmonious blend of flavors, balancing the tangy fruitiness with sweet vanilla notes.

To accompany my cheesecake, I opted for a hot lavender matcha. Unlike other overly sweet versions I've tried, this one had a pronounced matcha taste with a subtle hint of lavender - a refreshing change that I thoroughly enjoyed.

A standout feature of Laika is their attentiveness to customer needs, particularly in regards to allergies. Being asked about any dietary restrictions before ordering was a thoughtful touch that I really appreciated.

While the prices are on the higher side, with a slice costing $9, the quality and taste justify the expense. It's an ideal spot for a special date or a treat-yourself day. Laika is not just a bakery; it's an experience of culinary delight and care. Highly recommended for anyone with a sweet tooth and a love for unique,...

A friend introduced my daughter and I to this place, and let me say that we are hooked! The divine decadence of the cheesecake is straight up unmatched! The size is perfect -you can choose a "jar" which is about the size of a baby food jar and what we chose. My lovely friend treated us to a multipack of the jars allowing us to try 6 different flavors. ALL of them have been straight up amazing (we've sampled from each other's jars). You can eat a jar and feel satisfied without feeling an overly heavy stomach. The texture is feather light for a cheesecake...almost like that of a mousse, but still most assuredly a cheesecake.

The atmosphere inside was super cute, and the restrooms were extremely clean. The employee that helped us was great about describing what each flavor we asked about tastes like and was sure to let us know which flavors were seasonal and may not be around next time we visit. In other words she was both friendly and knowledgeable.

Hats off to this gem of a spot hidden just off the highway. You have certainty earned yourself a family of loyal customers... I wish I knew...

The genius of Laika Cheesecakes and Espresso? They’ve mastered the art of portion control. Their cheesecakes are just the right size—enough to leave you fulfilled, not full, so you can indulge in a sweet treat without the guilt, even if it’s the middle of the day.

And the espresso? My vanilla latte was the Goldilocks of lattes—perfectly balanced, not too hot, cold, bitter, or sweet.

On my latest visit, I ventured into new territory with the Earl Grey Cheesecake—I had no idea what I’d been missing. The portion, though small, was crafted with care, and the intricate blend of flavors showcased their commitment to quality.

Whether you’re planning a party, catching up with friends, or just need a solo sugar fix, Laika is your spot on 1604. And yes, the space theme is a nod to their namesake, the Soviet dog Laika—the first living being to orbit the Earth. A bit of history, a bit of sweetness, and a...

First time trying their cheesecake slices. Honestly, these are not that great. The bottles ones are way more flavorful and creative combinations. Staff members were kind and friendly. However, whoever owns the business and writes their policy really need to re-educate himself/herself.... I asked them not to put my cheesecake into the boxes since I was going to eat them at the spot, and they refused due to their sanitation policy. I work in the medical field and can guarantee that moving those cheesecakes from the showcase to my table without paperbox won't contaminate them so much. Too wasteful to use all the paperboxes when there is no need to use them, and they don't do much of their purpose either. It's literally 4-5 steps away from the showcase. Idk how smart they felt making such rules...but y'all really do not know what you are talking about 😂😂 seriously change that rule like ASAP 😂
