Andyys Salon on Culebra is a textbook example of what happens when a business lacks integrity, professionalism, and basic customer respect.
Let me be crystal clear: I didnāt come in asking for a luxury treatment. I requested a basic square full set with regular polish ā the most standard, no-frills service imaginable. Their website says $35 for a full set, $30 for a regular pedicure. But when it came time to pay? Suddenly Iām being slapped with hidden charges for things I never approved and was never told about.
Thatās fraudulent, plain and simple. Not a misunderstanding. Not a miscommunication. A deliberate attempt to overcharge and hope Iād stay quiet.
Letās talk about the āservice.ā The pedicure was so rushed, careless, and sloppily done, it looked like a punishment, not a service. The polish was streaky, the cuticle work was nonexistent, and the attitude? Disgusting. The moment I said I didnāt want gel polish, itās like they mentally checked out. I was pressured into picking a color I didnāt like, and they acted like doing the job right was optional.
When I calmly pointed out the price discrepancy and refused to be upcharged for a basic square shape ā the nail tech raised his voice at me. Got aggressive. Tried to bully me in front of other customers. Let me say this loud for the people in the back: standing up for yourself is not being ādifficult.ā Being lied to, then yelled at for calling it out, is absolute insanity.
This wasnāt just a bad experience. It was a calculated hustle disguised as a service business.
ā Theyāre dishonest. ā Theyāre lazy. ā They get hostile when held accountable.
This review isnāt about being petty ā itās about protecting others from falling for the same trap. If Andyys Salon thinks they can continue disrespecting customers, cutting corners, and pocketing extra money through lies and intimidation, theyāve picked the wrong one today.
You lost a customer ā and hopefully after...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo Iāve gone to them a couple times- usually they do a really really good job and they have been super personable and great. But this last time I went shortly before Halloween- and the experience was not so great. I got a fill on a full set- the usual, and forgive my ignorance regarding what is used for this process, but long story short- when my nails grew out, I knew there was a problem and couldnāt afford to or make time to go back to pay to have them removed- but when the nails came off so did a majority of my nail with it. There was so much of the nail solution underneath and around my nailbed that each one as itās coming off is taking a majority of my actual nails with it. Super painful and super bloody, and super disappointed that Iāll have to wait for months for my nails to grow back and heal before I can even get them done anywhere again and Iām not looking forward to the bandaids Iām going to have to wear on my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI asked for shellac but they insisted I do dip. So I agreed bc I didnāt want my nails to look bad if the nail tech was more comfortable using dip. She did not do a clean job and didnāt even offer lotion for my hands. Didnāt ask what shape I wanted my nails, were annoyed bc I wasnāt sure on the color. They even charged me a convenience fee⦠not sure why. Iām assuming bc my 5$ tip wasnāt enough money for them. I tipped 15% of what they charged me. I wouldāve tipped more had tech done a decent job. They also have limited selection of colors. Do not recommend. There are far better places and that do not charge convenience fee⦠that will give you at least lotion.
Please see picture. Not neat, left nail polish in between nail and skin...
