Andyys Salon on Culebra is a textbook example of what happens when a business lacks integrity, professionalism, and basic customer respect.

Let me be crystal clear: I didn’t come in asking for a luxury treatment. I requested a basic square full set with regular polish — the most standard, no-frills service imaginable. Their website says $35 for a full set, $30 for a regular pedicure. But when it came time to pay? Suddenly I’m being slapped with hidden charges for things I never approved and was never told about.

That’s fraudulent, plain and simple. Not a misunderstanding. Not a miscommunication. A deliberate attempt to overcharge and hope I’d stay quiet.

Let’s talk about the ā€œservice.ā€ The pedicure was so rushed, careless, and sloppily done, it looked like a punishment, not a service. The polish was streaky, the cuticle work was nonexistent, and the attitude? Disgusting. The moment I said I didn’t want gel polish, it’s like they mentally checked out. I was pressured into picking a color I didn’t like, and they acted like doing the job right was optional.

When I calmly pointed out the price discrepancy and refused to be upcharged for a basic square shape — the nail tech raised his voice at me. Got aggressive. Tried to bully me in front of other customers. Let me say this loud for the people in the back: standing up for yourself is not being ā€œdifficult.ā€ Being lied to, then yelled at for calling it out, is absolute insanity.

This wasn’t just a bad experience. It was a calculated hustle disguised as a service business.

āœ… They’re dishonest. āœ… They’re lazy. āœ… They get hostile when held accountable.

This review isn’t about being petty — it’s about protecting others from falling for the same trap. If Andyys Salon thinks they can continue disrespecting customers, cutting corners, and pocketing extra money through lies and intimidation, they’ve picked the wrong one today.

You lost a customer — and hopefully after...

So I’ve gone to them a couple times- usually they do a really really good job and they have been super personable and great. But this last time I went shortly before Halloween- and the experience was not so great. I got a fill on a full set- the usual, and forgive my ignorance regarding what is used for this process, but long story short- when my nails grew out, I knew there was a problem and couldn’t afford to or make time to go back to pay to have them removed- but when the nails came off so did a majority of my nail with it. There was so much of the nail solution underneath and around my nailbed that each one as it’s coming off is taking a majority of my actual nails with it. Super painful and super bloody, and super disappointed that I’ll have to wait for months for my nails to grow back and heal before I can even get them done anywhere again and I’m not looking forward to the bandaids I’m going to have to wear on my...

I asked for shellac but they insisted I do dip. So I agreed bc I didn’t want my nails to look bad if the nail tech was more comfortable using dip. She did not do a clean job and didn’t even offer lotion for my hands. Didn’t ask what shape I wanted my nails, were annoyed bc I wasn’t sure on the color. They even charged me a convenience fee… not sure why. I’m assuming bc my 5$ tip wasn’t enough money for them. I tipped 15% of what they charged me. I would’ve tipped more had tech done a decent job. They also have limited selection of colors. Do not recommend. There are far better places and that do not charge convenience fee… that will give you at least lotion.

Please see picture. Not neat, left nail polish in between nail and skin...

I’ve been searching for a nail salon since I’ve moved and I’m so happy I’ve found Andyy’s! They do amazing work, great quality, amazing atmosphere in the shop, I love it. My first set lasted me around 3 weeks, I think it might’ve been a bit longer(I have super busy weeks). Despite being past my usual 2 week time frame for fills, every nail stayed on, there were no cracks, no chips in polish, no lifting around the edges, just good quality work! I was so happy with everything, I’ve definitely found my new spot. I recommend this nail salon 100%, I’ve already sent a few ladies who agree! 10/10
