Mannnnn listen, if you ain't been to 16st Street Tacos in San Antonio, you missin' out big time. Let me break it down for you real quick.

First off, you gotta hit 'em up on a Tuesday for their $1 pastor tacos. That's right, just a buck for some of the best pastor you ever tasted. They grill it up perfect, juicy and packed with flavor, wrapped in a fresh tortilla. Can't beat that deal anywhere.

But it ain't just tacos they got. Their Alambre tortas are on another level, packed with all the good stuff that'll make your taste buds dance. And don't even get me started on their Mexican hot dogs. It's like a flavor explosion with every bite, loaded with toppings that hit just right.

Now, if you like your food with a little kick, their salsa bar is where it's at. They got all kinds of salsas, from mild to make-you-sweat spicy, so you can customize your eats just how you like it.

And the customer service? Man, they treat you like family. Always friendly, always making sure you good. You feel right at home from the moment you step in.

So, if you tryna eat good without breaking the bank, 16st Street Tacos is the spot. Trust, you won't be...

Tacos al pastor de trompo are hard to find. We came here all the way from New Braunfels just to get the $1 pastor tacos on Tuesday after seeing a reel on FB! Service was quick and friendly even on a busy night. Place is impeccably clean.

Tacos Al pastor were very pretty good, and we enjoyed them. The meat was a bit on the dry side, but not terrible. As other people reviewed the meat was cut up and cooked all the way instead of sliced from the trompo. That was disappointing. They came with a little bit of pineapple on the side. They use the small corn tortillas, if that’s all your eating order plenty because you get one tortilla with a bit of meat enough for two bites.

They have the onions, cilantro, radish, limes, jalapeños asados, and salsa on a little stand alone cart. I wish the had two trays of everything because there was a traffic jam around the cart with so many people trying to get the fixings.

Only two kinds of salsas. Red and green are blended and runny. I wasn’t a fan of them.

We may stop by again when...

Had been wanting to go here, saw a reel on FB from a foodie I follow. We went on Halloween. They have several types of meats, and they serve it in tacos, plates, tortas, burritos, and over a baked potato. I had an al pastor torta, fiance had a burritos con tripas. Meat was tasty and cooked to perfection, my torta came with a baked potato on the side, loaded with butter and cheese. How they knew I love potatoes made up that way, oh yeah. Serve beer or sodas. There was only 1 or 2 other people there. Clean, quiet, only thing they couldn't do was put the baseball game on one of their many tvs. It's located in a busy strip right near Evers and 410, we were surprised it wasn't busy. Will return to try another meat, maybe over the baked potato next time. I truly hope they are successful, in this economy where many of the low key places I enjoy are having to shutter...

We saw this location on a FB video so we decided 2 check it out 4 ourselfs. The place is nice and big was very empty. It was very clean. Then there was the food 😬 We got the $1 taco pastor... My sister liked them i personally didn't like the sweetness of the taco. My sister still said there was no wow factor so far. Then we tried the barbacoa, they were our favorite but you seriously don't get much even in 4 tacos. The bistec tacos were 2 salty we had 2 add avocado 2 help with the saltiness. Last was the torta Alambre 🥺😫 sadly we couldn't even finish this 1 me or my sis, it was that over salted. We added avocado and sour cream and still it just wasnt eatable. Our total 3 sets of 4 mini tacos and the torta was $39. Would we go back...No. thats why always take those FB vids with a grain of salt. In our case it tasted literly like a cup of salt 😬😫

Went in for the Thursday $1 taco 🌮 special & the pastor trompo tacos surpassed my expectations! It reminded me of my trips down to Mexico. The ladies at the counter were very nice & helpful. They spoke Spanish & understood my English. We bought the tacos de pastor, bistec quesadilla, bistec baked potato & a small fideo. Then went back for more of the pastor tacos. 😂 The tacos come plain with some slices of pineapple on the plate, but then you can add whatever you want from their condiment bar. The bistec quesadilla was bigger than I thought it would be & the bistec baked potato was massive. Everything was delicious! 😋 It’s a large space with tvs on sports, great for watching games with some friends while you eat. You won’t be disappointed 👌
