Taco Cabana — Restaurant in San Antonio

I want to give a huge shout out to Adriana who is one of the most amazing employees I've encountered at this franchise. I came in right before closing time with my two kids and these days most fast food places at closing time are not helpful. She allowed me to come in even though we were late. I usually order a dish that has a lot of ingredients and I pay extra for the it. Side note most people never listen well enough to get it right. However not only did I get great late service but she has been the only person to get my special order correct. SHE LISTENED!!! SHE DELIVERED AND SHE IS BEING ACKNOWLEDGED FOR IT! My hope is that this review reaches someone who cares enough to make this review matter to her! This is the type of employee you want working for you and the type or person you want giving service to you and your family and friends. Please take the time to recognize her. Now I also want to recognize the manager at this store Claudia. She has provided great service to my family as well and should be recognized as well for helping to make the working environment a pleasant place for her staff and customers. I made mention of Adriana's service and told her i wrote a review. She said she had seen my review but it was a survey not a a Google review and she asked me to acknowledge Adriana on the review here. Go figure how many supervisors steal their employees work and take credit for it. Not Claudia she is getting recognition from me and my family as well. Because people don't care how much you know until they know how much you care! Selfless acts of kindness and service over a great meals that me and my family have received from these two ladies have to be acknowledged. We enter without receiving a greeting. Woman with a headset is at the front. We stand there for awhile wondering if she’ll acknowledge us in any way but she ended up walking away. No “we’ll be right with you” or anything like that. Finally, a different woman (no headset) comes and takes our order. She has us repeating our order for everything we asked for to where we had the thought that something will end up wrong. We noticed something on our receipt that we didn’t order however we weren’t sure if it was short for what we did order. We get our order and half of it isn’t even what we ordered. When we let them know that’s not what we ordered, they just show us receipt to that exact item we didn’t know what exactly was. Not our fault cashier has hearing issues. They walk away. Later a manager comes and we tell them the item that’s missing, charges us for it and she gives us a refund for wrong item. A no charge for the item missing would have been nice considering all the unfriendliness and inconvenience but no. No apology from anyone. No sympathy. Just looks. let me just say I've been here 3 times and 2/3 times food and service have not been great. First time I went with my kids it was ok so I went back a second time through drive through to get fries and carne asada they tell me they don't have carne asada and the lady was trying to make it all very confusing as if they couldn't make the meal I said its fine ill just get a different kind of meat. Then they took the longest making my meal. Today I went back for the last time. Samething Can I get carne asada fries? no we don't have it I said then I'll get a different meat then she says no we don't have fries. I said ok I'll get tacos instead and a margarita with salt on the rim. No we don't do that so I show her the sign on the counter where it says salt or sugar she said no we don't do that I said fine I'll take it plain.
