Taco Cabana — Restaurant in San Antonio

This was both my daughters first time being there. I had them so hyped up after us having eaten at the one by LAFB. As a former GM for fast food, there were so many violations plain in site. We should’ve have left but we had been out for 5 hrs running errands and my girls were starving. My daughter ordered the Street Taco Carne Asade plate and the avocado and tortillas were missing. The rice was so dry and bland, no flavor whatsoever. I ordered a Carne Asado Bowl and the amount of sour cream they put on there was asinine. Half the shell was broken due to the heavy sour cream. I ordered 3 bean burritos but only received one. I asked them not to put cilantro on the first plate and they put cilantro on 2 of the tacos. Once they brought out the food, I realized I hadn’t received our cheese dip and cheese either. Thankfully I saw this before I left. When I first approached the counter, a young lady saw us but continued doing what she was doing. There were only 2 customers, one in store and one who was waiting outside for their order. When she finally came over to us, she seemed annoyed. When I asked if they had a paper menu because their display is so small and dirty she was cold about it and I just used my daughters phone. I don’t understand how they operate there but when I ordered the chips and queso both the young lady and young man who took my order never changed gloves from touching the register them proceeding to cook. I didn’t even eat my bowl, my daughter had to take a shower and allergy medicine due to the cilantro as she did try picking it off but there was a lot in there. Never will we going back and definitely wouldn’t recommend this...

Taco Cabana is a franchisee and no matter where I go I should be offered the same quality of food and service.

Everytime I come to this particular Taco Cabana I am always disappointed. I always have to send my food back. Something is ALWAYS wrong.

The problem is to many employees here do not care when you have a special request that you want. If you can't, just tell me so I'm not wasiting my time or money. I use can't loosely because they CAN, they choose not too. But I order my beef enchiladas with no cheese. Every signle time no cheese in or on top. Simple Request NO CHEESE. I watch on the order board that it is not added in the order. So I will once again repeat myself. "Also Please no cheese" Just to get a reasonable question "oh you mean like you on top?" I then say yes no cheese on top but also no cheese in the enchiladas.

At the window I confirm again. Just to get a "yeah I know, we go it". If you got it then why did it take 20 minutes for you to still deliver me the cheesist Enchiladas. I thought you said you got that.

The worst part they don't take responsibility. Say they didnt understand or misunderstood me. How do you misunderstand No Cheese? And told me you understood.

I don't recommend this Taco Cabana. It is unfortunate because this is the closet one to where I live.

So if you value your time and money just go somewhere else, untill management realizes they have a real problem eith this...

This is only the second time that I have visited a Taco Cabana and I was not impressed the first time around but as it was a different location I thought I'd give it another try. We were not greeted upon arrival to the counter and the gentleman ringing us up appeared to be very bored. He never told me what our total was and walked off in the middle of the transaction. We all had to ask for our cups before walking away. Three of us got all of our food at one time and we were almost finished before the fourth one received his and even then it was only about half of his order. The food itself was just okay. I noticed a gentleman in the kitchen wearing gloves making orders knock over a broom and proceeded to pick it up with his gloved hands and not change them before proceeding. I saw a young lady in the dining room stocking condiments and plasticware with gloves on and then started to sweep and wipe off tables with her gloves still on. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. I can speak for the women's and saying that two of the three toilets were clogged, and the one toilet that was not clogged was completely out of toilet paper and there was trash and paper towels all over the floor. I made a comment to my husband asking if the men's bathroom was just as bad as the women's and all he responded with was yes. I like the concept for the patio restaurant and the variety of the menu but we will not being...
