My husband and I went out to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. I made a reservation (for a booth) just in case it was super busy. When we got there no one showed us to a table no one asked if we needed a seat no one even looked until one of the servers saw us and just pointed to a random table. It took 10 min for anyone to come ask us if we wanted a drink, I asked about my reservation and she didn’t understand, I also asked if we could move to the one booth available and she just said No its reserved and left. After 20 min she came back and asked if it was going to be 7 of us, at this point my husband and I were just thirsty and hungry, I replied saying I just wanted my booth and my reservation, I guess she didn’t understand the first time (mind you i am mexican and speak fluent spanish but she wouldn’t talk to me in spanish just english and she didn’t speak it very well) , and by that time a random couple had just sat in that booth, she proceeded to clean a new one for us and we were ready to order at that point, but she just asked for our drinks (which she forgot about too). 40 minutes had passed and she came back to remind herself what drinks we had ordered, left again and wouldn’t give us the chance to speak just to get food. She finally came back with our drinks 1 HOUR after we had arrived, the food took another 20 minutes, and my aguachile wasn’t even good, my husband mojito was just syrup and they never brought us even chips to start munching on. Every table that had gotten there way after us was already finished by the time we got our food. I am a server, I know how busy it can get, and how forgetful one is while multitasking, but this was the worst experience i have had. if you go there do not order an aguachile or any seafood just stick to the mexican dishes and micheladas. I hope they get more servers and at least give...
Read moreThe food is good but the service can be a hit or miss. There are a lot of military men and women who come here and it seems to bother the waitresses at times when you walk in with a family and don't order any drinks during happy hour. I came here with my sister and kids right about the time happy hour started, I don't come here ofthen enough to remember the happy our days and times to begin with. We walked in and they had just about 4 tables seated and there was about 5 or 6 waitresses. The place was pretty empty but we still had to wait about 10 minutes for anyone to even come to the table. After a waitress came she did not greet but just asked what we wanted to drink, she never looked at us just at her pad. We just order water and tea and asked for menus since we never got any and asked for a highchair. She came back with a the menus and just placed them on the corner of the table and left, no highchair. So WE got up to get a highchair and distributed the menus. Waited about 15 minutes for the waitresses to come take our order. She never came back though, another waitress came and took our order. By now the place was filling it's tables fast and we could see our previous waitress happily making conversations and greeting the people at her tables. Our second waitress was much nicer and polite but never returned for a check up or to fill our drinks which we really needed. I've been here for Breakfast and the service is pretty good but I guess they have better people to tend to during their...
Read moreDO NOT GET A DRINK WITH NO ICE!!! They will charge you TWICE!!! the food is good and a bit overpriced, the service is most of the time pretty good. but i was blown away when they charged my twice because I ordered a drink with no ice. very disappointed.
25AUG update: I am not looking for compensation or a 5% discount. What I am shocked though is that you are more worried about my review than making sure that your staff does not charge TWICE for a drink that a customer requests with no ice. You should not have the need to use your 5-star solutions team if there is more awareness of what is going on in the floor. I would not have to write my review if all the staff was properly informed of on what to do or what not to do. Now that we are in this topic, the waiter came at the end and told me that the manager told her to let me know that it was going to be charged twice because I ordered it with no ice. I want to make a note here that the waiter was really embarrassed and apologetic to the situation.
My question now is: was this something that all the waiters were aware previously? or they already knew to...
