After being its first customer and giving it an outstanding review 2 1/2 years ago, I need to update the review for my visit on 1/15/25. I got their app quite awhile ago and have to say it' sucks unless you want to order one of their specialty pizza's. Therefore, I've been been calling in my orders and realized I was screwing myself on loyalty points because I wasn't getting my loyalty number scanned. Tonight I was appalled because their phone ordering system was not working so after spending a half an hour trying to get through, I had to go order in person and waste another half hour plus for the pizza to be baked. If I hadn't promised my guests via 313, I would have definitely ordered somewhere else! The bartender is nice and friendly and the pizza tastes great, but the fact that I wasn't able to order by phone is completely unacceptable!
I’ve been waiting for VIA 313 to open in San Antonio for months. Today on 8/1/22 it finally opened and I had the honor to be the first sit down customer. The wait was worth it. I ordered a four square mushroom and four square sausage pizza. They were both delicious. The pizza crust was done to perfection with cheese baked into the edge of the crust as it should be. The pizza sauce that was added after it was through baking was also delicious. The restaurant’s attmosphere is great, and the service is exceptional. VIA 313’s pizza is the real deal. If you are from the Detroit area, it will remind you of Buddy’s. If you’ve never tried it, you have no idea what you’ve been missing all these years, and you...
Read moreIf you're into great pizza layered with great music, mix in some interesting cocktails or an ice cold beer... then BINGO. Victoria was great, lots of smiles. She got a little busy so we had to be a little patient. But overall great. If you can, order the meatball appetizer. The balls were moist and yummy but we fought for that sauce. My friend put some on their pizza. I dredged those super crispy thin sliced bread slices through it like I had no shame. I didn't. I ordered a half and half Pizza the square one which is a little deeper dish, don't think it's all dough because it's not, just a nice mix and delicious dough. So one side was the Detroiter and the other side was the Cadillac and both were fantastic. I couldn't decide which was better because they were both FANTASTIC! My friend had the plain cheese in the 12-in thin crust. I have to tell you, I've never seen a crust this thin, and I also have to tell you I've never had a plain cheese thin pizza that was this great. Tea was good, you know how I like my tea. Before we finished eating we are already planning our next visit. And planning which friends we would bring on those visits LOL. 2:00 on a Saturday afternoon seem to work, don't know if it was a fluke but we were able to walk in sit down and get served. Can't wait to try some of the other pizzas that they have- so many inventive ingredients... This would make any mad scientist Pizza maker jealous. The number 13 is super lucky here!
UPDATE still great service. Went around 2, no wait. I think HH starts at three. Pizza are also still...
Read moreThe sign as you walk in is what drew me in... lol... then I found out they have Detroit style pizza, oh my! Then I found out they donate to charity orgs, Nice! THEN I found out that they have gluten free pizza?!!! SOLD! Review to follow.... Ok... finished my meal. And here is what I think: Gluten free pizza was really good, crunchy on your first bite and soft as you go deeper (ok Mike Scott time, "that's what she said ").... Did that on purpose, now that I have your attention, keep reading... Ricotta cheese is homemade, sauce not overly empowering, just the right tangy to tickle your palate. Pepperoni and sausage were cooked just right, not over cooked . Service, the waitress was ok, she was sweet. A little bit slow on checking in but then again it seems like she was the only one working hard, the rest were kinda hanging out? But then I don't know really...oh the pizza chef was hard at work too!!! Then when it was time to leave she just left the electronic thingy you pay with table side; glad I'm honest and didn't just leave... when I tried to return it to the other staff who had a furrow led eyebrow, she told me to just leave it there. So I walked myself out and was hoping for a "come see us again" but none was said (sigh) Atmosphere: love love love the music, clean and right temp to enjoy your pizza. They do have outside seating with a nice view of med center. Ok I am getting too chatty; maybe it's the Faygo orange soda's sugarrrrrrs! Give via313 a try... will I return? Yes for the Food but not necessarily for the service, yelpers are sweet...
