Ok, my family and I visited after watching a great movie. Our server greeted us promply. We ordered and I'm not sure how to handle this, but they ask if you want separate or all the bill in one. For me, it's uncomfortable. If you say separate, you seem cheap, but if you say all in one bill, those in attendance might order extra steam/lobster to go. Anyway, I asked if we could just order and make individual payments later. The server agreed and we ordered. I haven't been here in many years and remember that they use to have great food and large portions. A salad was served with dinner. Being that we had half a dozen people, I can kinda understand that my sale was dropped off in the wrong spot next to another family member. So I sat there patiently waiting until my wife noticed an uneaten sale sitting there. Sure enough, it was my salad that was sitting there in the wrong spot :(. Well, for the main course, I ordered the salmon with crab topping. When it arrived, there were small slivers of crab meat on top and two approx six inch asparagus as the side. You heard me correct, two asparagus! The salmon was rather puny too. Not very satisfying for an over $30 main dish. Well, the server may have been busy with other tables but she made very few visits back to the table for refills. One other issue... the server never showed up after dropping off the bill holder to see if we wanted dessert. I wanted a that multi chocolate layer of cake to go but it never materialized since the server showed up to see if we wanted anything afterwards. At payment time, we gave her our credit cards and had a drink on there that we never ordered. We sat there for about 20 extra minutes trying to get the bill sorted out. Lol, we had a record number of receipt holders on our table. It was actually comical. So being that I wasn't too satisfied with the tiny portions, the lack of easily achievable service, and the confusion over the bill, I have to rate it only three stars. Yes, three stars for what should have been a five star visit.

It was our first visit to Claim Jumper and will be our last. Our server, Janessa, was sweet and wonderful. However, there was nothing special about the food. It all tasted like it was frozen and heated up. When we first sat down, there was a paper notice on the table offering a $10 off $30 Welcome Reward for signing up and enrolling in their rewards program. I have attached a photo below. I provided my name, birthday, phone number and email to sign up. There is no disclaimer indicating the $10 off $30 welcome reward cannot be applied to the first visit. This was not indicated on the paper on the table or in my account online. When we told the waitress that we signed up for the rewards program, she gladly took my phone number and said she would apply the $10 reward to our bill. After a few minutes, she said the reward was not showing up on my account and would go speak to a manager about it. She returned and stated the reward cannot be applied now. It has to be on our second visit. This is very frustrating given that there was no indication of this anywhere on the paper. I provided personal information (my name, birthday, phone number and email) in order to sign up for rewards, under the impression I would have $10 off my bill. I would not have done this knowing it could not be applied to this visit. Disclaimers need to be provided to customers when they are proving personal information into online systems. Shame on Claim Jumper for misleading customers into providing personal information when disclaimers are not made readily and easily available. We will not return. Outback SteakHouse down the street has better food. Again, this is not our servers fault. This is a flaw in management. Do better and stop misleading customers with faulty promises.

If you've never heard of Claim Jumper Steakhouse & Bar, you're not alone. This establishment is a West Coast chain restaurant spanning only five states. Coincidentally, by definition, a claim jumper is "a person who seizes another's claim. The vibe evokes the inspiration of Western-themed environs inside a hunting lounge with heavy wood, antler chandeliers, and stoned walls. Reservations were easily made via Open Table to their San Bernardino location off the 10 Freeway at the base of the San Bernardino Mountains. Upon our arrival as first-timers, my partner, his family and I were greeted by the host and led to a table for five somewhere in the middle of the restaurant. After being seated, our server, Milton, greeted us. He gave us ample time to study the huge menu that offered comfort food, from original rotisserie specialties to seafood dishes to hearth-baked pizzas and salad bars. We decided on 7-ounce top sirloin, Atlantic Grilled Salmon, Steak & Shrimps, and the Salad Bar. Complimentary bread started our meal. The food was full of flavor, savory, and delicious. The portions were decent. We were surprised at the end of our meal with a chocolate cake celebrating a graduation. The service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. The price was comparable to the area. This is one of the restaurants you will want to stop at if you are passing through San Bernardino, and we can recommend this place.

Made a 7:30 pm reservation for 12, a week in advance, for my daughter's birthday. Arrived at 7:15 and were told they would set our table up, it would be ready in 5 minutes. Went back to check at 7:40 and they hadn't set up the table yet. Went back at 7:50 and they still weren't finished, they would make sure there was silverware on the table and come get us. 8:00 we are finally being seated, after 45 minutes, with a reservation. Mind you, I had purchased their $25 "club card" the week before and should have received priority seating and a private party table. We were seated in the middle of the room and were told it would be 30 additional minutes if we wanted the private table. I asked what the benefit of actually making a reservation was, especially after purchasing their card. He apologized and offered us a free appetizer.

Some of our party had canceled, so we ended up only having a party of 8. We ordered, our free appetizer came, and SOME of our drinks came. After reminding the waitress twice, the remaining drinks came. Good thing we had a fun group and just tried to make the best of the situation and continue our celebration. At 8:55, the salads finally came out. At 9:20, two meals came. These two people, wanting to be polite, were waiting for the rest of us to be served before starting to eat. We finally told them to eat or their food would be cold. The waitress apologized and said our steaks would be out "as soon as they're done" (duh!). Four meals came next, then finally the last two came by the time the first two people had finished eating. My daughter's steak was raw and another was wrong as well. They were too hungry and tired to send the food back. My daughter was treated to a free dessert for her birthday, bigger than what is normally brought.

Part of the club benefits include a $25 reward to be taken off your first purchase. When the check came, it did not include this credit so I asked the waitress to fix it. After 20 minutes, she came back and said she couldn't find me in the system so I just paid the bill the way it was. On our way out, a friend convinced me to complain to the manager. He was able to give me the credit as well as remove my daughter's meal from the bill. I told him I would not be visiting this establishment again. So, three and a half hours later, we were finally on...
