First of all I was really looking forward to having lunch at this location today. I walked in, needed to use the restroom and as I like to have clean hands when I eat I asked for the restroom to be open so that I could relieve myself before ordering as I had to go pretty bad. The employees refused stating that I had to order first before they would open up the restroom. I explained of my need to go pretty badly but the guy at the counter would not relent. I could understand this policy if I were a dirty homeless person that wasn't going to order food, but here I am a person dressed in a uniform at lunchtime about to order lunch in your otherwise empty dining room. You guys must not need my business so I walked over to Pollo Loco. I was welcome to use their restroom before I ordered and then I dropped nearly twenty dollars on lunch. I then proceeded to return to the Waba location waiting to speak to some sort of manager because I was hoping that the manager could use this as a teaching experience for the people that work the counter that perhaps they should use some discretion when someone needs to use the restroom. The two people in the back told me they don't speak English. Then when the guy at the front counter came back I asked for the manager. He then made a phone call and spoke to the person that he said was the manager in Spanish land that's when it hit me. They didn't want to let me use the restroom because I do not speak Spanish. So he then told me that the manager said she was too busy to deal with me. Well then I guess I got my answer. Guess they don't...
Read moreThe reasons certain things on their menu are consistently unavailable is because they’re always switching out their cashiers & only give them 3 days of training & the way they teach you is not effective enough constantly verbally degrading you and making fun of you for asking for help, when they’re supposed to be teaching you. I started working there not too long ago & the managers mom verbally harassed the entire time I worked there from the very first day, constantly degrading their new employees then I spoke to another young employee Jen who told me when she started working there they did the same, but to the point we’re she would leave work crying because of the bullying. She also told me they did the same to another girl she was about 17 I believe, & they bullied her to the pint were she attempted to committed suicide. I wouldn’t recommend searching for a job here to anyone not very friendly to their employees. We’re supposed to work as a unit in the kitchen but with all the harassment it makes it very difficult to be able to feel like you can rely on your coworker to do what they’re supposed to be doing. never had to deal with any type of harassment, in any work environment iv been in, of course till now so I’d say the over all, the experience here...
Read moreUnfortunately, this will be the last time I visit this location of Waba grill. I ordered the salmon bowl and asked to pay the one dollar extra for some vegetables. From my understanding, the salmon bowl alone is supposed to be a bowl, full of rice and choice of meat, in my case salmon on top. If I pay one dollar extra for vegetables, the vegetables should also be on top of the rice.
After arriving home, and opening my bowl, I was given a small portion of rice— less than half of the right side with a small piece of salmon on top. The left side had vegetables. What happened to the rest of the rice??
The fish tasted like it had not been washed. It tasted extra fishy, as if open from a package thrown on the grill with a few seasonings. It did not taste fresh or even rinsed whatsoever.
I paid over $13 including tax for a small scoop of rice and a small piece of fishy salmon, which was probably barely 4 ounces if that… I was left hungry…
The only positive thing I can say is that the woman at the window was very sweet and polite.
I am sorry to give this review and to say this will be my last visit to this location...
