Best I can do for this business is provide a mixed review, some good, some not so good points. Here goes... I hesitated coming here because I knew it was an open air indoor-outdoor pavilion concept. No air conditioning. But we came on a Sunday in November. The temperature (high in upper 80s this day) was not a problem: the large ceiling fans under the pavilion did their job very well. We liked the food very much. We walked up to several different food trucks parked on the sides of the pavilion and all served up some great meals. One however, did not accept cash, while others did. There should be signs indicating credit cards only, but there weren't. Oddly, there were tip containers for cash throughout the place. Once we got our food and took it back to the table, we soon noticed that the food attracted flies. A little while later, we noticed a bee attracted to the food as well. Then more bees. We did have a waitress to order drinks and she did her best and suggested we move to a table on the other side of the pavilion away from the bees. We picked everything up and moved there. It was very loud at this table and difficult to hold a conversation because of the blaring music. Everything being played was in a foreign language, with the volume turned way up. For a few minutes we enjoyed our food without pests, despite the racket. But it didn't take long for the bees to find us. We hurried and finished our food. We played darts for a while because the kids wanted to try it. Darts was a lot of fun for the whole family. There was duckpin bowling there too, but we didn't get a chance to try that. The pavilion is an interesting concept with food trucks all around. The food trucks had delicious things on their menus, but were inconsistent in accepting cash. Management must know about the problem with bees and should call a professional to find and relocate the hives in the vicinity. They have had long enough now to do this. Until that's done, we...

I'm always searching for venues that offer a complete experience, and Backyard Social absolutely nails it. This place is so much more than a food truck park. The ambiance is set perfectly with fantastic lighting—cool blues and pinks mixed with the warm glow of string lights overhead create a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere both indoors and out.

The layout is genius. A massive central bar acts as the heart of the indoor space, buzzing with activity. Surrounding it, you have a culinary world tour thanks to the excellent rotation of food trucks. I stopped by Arepa Express and ordered the Puerto Rican Arepa, which was packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. While I didn't get to try everything, the sheer variety is a huge plus.

What truly sets this place apart is the entertainment. It's a playground for adults. In one corner, you'll find a dedicated room with duckpin bowling and Jenga, while elsewhere there's table shuffleboard—a fantastic touch! On the night I visited, a DJ was spinning incredible Latin music, and the dance floor was alive and full of energy. It's the kind of place where you can find your own perfect corner, whether you're there to dance, play games, or just chill.

Even though it was bustling and crowded (a sure sign of a great spot), the service was top-notch. Many reviews praise the friendly and attentive staff, and I can see why. Everyone, from the bartenders to the security, helps maintain a fun and safe environment.

Backyard Social is a 5-star experience through and through. It's a perfect spot for a date night, a group outing, or just a fun evening to soak up some great local culture. This is an undeniable must-visit in Fort Myers. Highly...
