Seagate built our home during 2019 and 2020, completing it in November 2020. We live in a Seagate community of 28 homes. The community is split between single story and two story homes. All of the two story homes have had roof, water intrusion problems. Despite attempts over the better part of two years, Seagate has consistently failed to recognize its role in these defects and has tried to shift burden to their subcontractor. After this problem was initially identified, Seagate changed contractors and conducted “tests” on the existing two story units, including ours. I would never recommend them as a developer or general contractor and they more interested in their next project than their existing customers. This was also the experience the entire community experienced when they turned the HOA over to the owners.
Seagate’s response to my review yesterday was predictable and says all the things you would expect. Read moreAbsolute worst employer in SWFL Construction Manager (Former Employee) - Fort Myers, FL - October 15, 2024 Seagate upper management is a joke. The company shuffles customer money around to cover their own expenses and does not pay their vendors in a timely manner. They put together extremely poor quality homes and covered it up with fancy finishes to hide poor craftsmanship. They do not promote within, rather hire new off the street and pay them more, because new employees don’t yet know the mask game Seagate executives hide behind. The company refuses to recognize their issues and continues to lose employees because of it. Salary levels across the board are below industry average. Claiming there’s no money for raises but saving over a million/year in just salaries from employees that left. They also expect anybody left to double or triple their workload without additional compensation because they refuse to hire actual field employees, just more office accounting staff to cover up their poor money management habits. DO NOT ACCEPT ANY OFFER HERE AND EXPECT A GOOD SUSTAINABLE CAREER. NO ANUAL RAISES, NO COST OF LIVING INCREASES, JUST HARD WORK REWARDED WITH MORE HARD WORK AND MORE STRUGGLES Pros Laughable experiences daily with upper management processes Cons The fact they still do business is...
