I come here for the drinks, not atmosphere.
The first few times I visited during the day and did some work on the side. It was ok, aside from that one kid monopolizing the couch for hours with loud phone, disregarding everyone in the room. He's not always there, though.
One time during the night I suggested my older mom to come along because the red kratom helps alleviate some hip issues, and it makes her feel better. I suggested it over the kava culture in estero because it was on the way home, and has great coffee drinks. As always, the drinks were great. Kavatender? Nice at first, made great drinks, but a bit rude and awkward. The other patrons were friendly. The Kava Culture might have been a better choice, because they're more accepting of diversity, and less cliquey. This is near FGCU, and they want exclusively FGCU.
If you want to study or work, I suggest the day when it's quite empty, assuming there's not a rude, selfish, patron that ruins the atmosphere for everyone.
If you want to party, do nights when it's more packed, but make sure you're from FGCU.
So to summarize,
Cleanliness: usually good
Atmosphere: total hit or miss, depending on patrons, time of day, kavatender, and what you want to do.
The reviews here about rude kavatenders are accurate sometimes. Though, since they are likely to be college students, they tend to come and go, depending on seasonality.
Drinks: Great selection of coffee, kratom, and Kava.
I'll continue to stop by when I'm in the area for the drinks,...
Read moreTucked away in Village Plaza, this kava lounge is truly a hidden gem! We stopped by for a drink after dinner and decided to try their kava with cream and cinnamon, yum perfect for unwinding before heading home. We got ours iced to go, and it was absolutely delicious! The staff informed us that kava is traditionally served in a shell, so we’re excited to return and experience it that way next time.
We also picked up some Mitra Kratom seltzer cans to enjoy at home, which we’ve had before and really liked. The lounge itself offers a fantastic social environment with plenty of comfortable seating, a pool table, and tables ideal for chatting or getting work done. In the back, there’s a cozy, more private space with a TV, sofas, and a table, perfect for groups or anyone looking for a quieter spot.
A thoughtful touch: they have two spacious, gender-neutral restrooms, both very clean and stocked with complimentary feminine products.
We also learned they host a trivia night every Thursday which sounds like a blast! There’s some outdoor seating as well, which is a great option. To top off our visit, we got to try Sue’s crepes from a vendor outside, and we found out she’s usually there on Thursday nights: another great reason to come back.
We’ll definitely be returning soon and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a welcoming, relaxing, and...
Read moreI have been maybe 2 or 3 times. Sofia is really great and remembered my order from the first time I came. Aleah is very nice and attentive and welcoming. Both of the owners, Karli and Dallas, said hi to me and we got to have a lovely conversation about plant medicine in general. I walked in to use the pool table and they were playing and offered for me to be next. When I took a break from shooting pool was when I got to sit down and officially meet and chat with the owners. Kevin seemed to be barbacking and was very attentive and extremely on top of taking cups and letting everyone know about the “$7 at 7”; Kevin was working extra hard to keep the bar nice and clean and all surfaces empty cup free. Poker was going on when I walked in and everyone said hi and was extremely welcoming. I came intentionally with a friend to shoot pool and met other people shooting pool. Everyone was extremely welcoming. I got the crushed leaf brewed tea and changed the flavors each time; it is quite strong. I like to shoot pool at kava bar pool tournaments on occassion and for fun to relax as well. The pool table was very nice and good quality and well taken care of. I will most definitely be back for a pain relieving tea and to shoot...
