I wish I could give zero star to be honest. But here we go...
First of all this a statement of how bad the service was overall. The wait time was longer then expected, with that there's nobody to blame. As we got seated to our table the expectations were the same as my past experiences in the restaurant so i had no idea i was going to dislike this place that much by their actions!
The server Natalie approached our table, we looked at the menu while we were waiting to get seated and we knew what we wanted to eat. The server seemed very crusty with her reaction when we told her we could order right away... she took the order and asked us what we wanted to drink. We got one water and one diet coke and chips with guacamole for appetizer. Not even joking 20-25 minutes passed by and our drinks weren't even brought to us. We had to ask a young lady who honestly needs to have a raise and promotion as manager because she stepped her kitty up and can have these people a run for her money. Wish i asked for her name because she honestly was on point with all of her tables. Wish she was our server, Natalie should take notes from her. It was next to her section.
The young lady brought our drinks and apologized for Natalie. While Natalie is just standing by the computer putting an order WHICH i think was ours. And here's my facts of this case.
We order a total of 7 tacos TOTAL! for two people. The order took an hour and 12 minutes to get to our table. AND IT WAS DISGUTING. The tacos first of all aren't cheap or Mexican authentic which i agree because is not a real Mexican restaurant. Its just an upscale version of Taco Bell and that's not a joke its fact. PERIOD. Expensive for one taco compare to buying 4 tacos at San Julian which i highly recommend for $10.
The thing that really made me mad are the following. The server never came to check on us after she brought the guac. When she brought it we literally had 5 chips left and common sense i was a server once for 9 years and i was always on my game. If i see a drink low, or bread, or chips or whatever; its courtesy and a JOB a server has to do, to refill the product. That's part of the job and it should be on Natalie's handbook. The nice server once again brought us more chips. I swear this girls needs to read this after ya'll talk this to corp.
After finishing my drink i literally had to put my empty glass to the side to be noticed by Natalie. She finally brought me my diet coke and with an attitude. My friend who i consider my sister was really upset. I know how hard this industry is and there's no excuse for lack and for disrespect. My friend requested for the manager i wish i wrote his name but the manager who was on duty on Saturday at night time should also be aware of how to approach a table and have the RIGHT words to have a client happy. He said "the kitchen is behind and its been a crazy night" In the wise words of Trinity The Tuck i call that "A STAIGHT UP SHADE!"
He kept repeating himself over and over bout' being busy but honestly it wasn't busy past 7pm. There was literally about 6 empty table around me and all the servers chilling by the bar area. As one of my former manager said Miss Kim "THERE'S ALWAYS SOMETHING TO DO!" don't just wait around. We told him about Natalie and he said he would talk to her. WHICH its gets better. Before he leaves our table magically our food is brought by another server. The food is gross. Greasy as butter. And messed up. NOT THE WAY I ORDERED IT. The manager asked me if there was something with it I told him yes that i said no lettuce or any vegetables on them. He did offered to changed them but i wasn't gonna wait another hour for my food. Oh no mam! After the first 3 bites Natalie comes back (just for the third time in the entire visit) to say "Oh my God! Really guys i didn't know" with the most sarcastic tone. She boiled my blood and honestly i was ready to walk out. FIRST OF ALL you do not come to my table to disrespect me and my friend. Oh no little girl, this is your job don't be all catty and all diva. Part...
Read moreI eat here pretty often as I think the food is very good but I’ve gone too long without writing anything about how awful it is ordering takeout. Almost every time I order takeout, there’s a missing item or somethings made incorrectly. Usually it’s just asking for a sauce or limes that I had asked for over the phone which isn’t a huge deal but 90% of the time I have to remind them to grab them. More often than not, I am missing a food item or something is made incorrectly and I don’t realize until I get home. This past time was the breaking point. I was given a completely different taco than I had ordered and then I had to once again, ask for limes again like I always do. The correct taco was made and it wasn’t a big deal. The mistake was corrected and that was that. When I got home I realized that my quesadilla was made with chicken instead of steak like I had asked. I was already annoyed with the first mistake and now yet another thing was messed up. I Called the store and I was told I could either come in for the correct one or they could send me credit through my email. Given that I had already waited for them to fix the first mistakes and then I was already home when I realized another one, I asked for the credit. I was asked for my email and phone number that was clarified multiple times and I was told they would send me the credit through my email and they never did. No sort of reimbursement whatsoever. Something needs to be said to the employees that are running the expo and checking the orders before they go out because clearly none of them know how to. Dining in is always great but it’s been too repetitive of an issue to continue ordering takeout. Something...
Read moreOur waitress Maddie was EXCELLENT! Cheerful attitude, attentive, she suggested some gems, Taco Tuesday was fabulous!!!!….with the exception of the woman who came out specifically to tell us that they ‘don’t do the taco specials as a carry out. It’s strictly dine in only, but this time I’ll do it for you.” Really lady!!!? It was A SINGLE $2 taco that we grabbed to go for a friend whom we were picking up at the airport. We are on vacation, and thought it might be a nice idea to grab our friend a taco because he missed our wonderful meal. One. Single. Taco!!!! 🌮 And you had to walk all the way out to our outdoor table and bark that at us? Very, very rude in my opinion! I hope you read this review and learn a little something about customer service and hospitality and then delete from this website because I DO NOT WANT to let the negotiate energy linger because EVERYTHING ELSE about our entire experience was VERY VERY ENJOYABLE!!! All the other staffers were extremely happy and helpful. Food was delicious. Because I am an out of towner, not sure when I’ll be back but I’m sure to tell my friends about this place. So that is why it’s so important in the food industry to…..just be a nice person. There is no reason you had to call us out on a $2 taco…..and it was so impactful that I am writing this review. Maddie: Girl! You rocked it! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK with the rest of your T&T staff and just SPREAD THE...
