GiGi's San Clemente — Restaurant in San Clemente

We had lunch here last Saturday 6/28 around 3:30. My kid 11 year old got food poisoning right after eating fish and chips dish here! They should refund me for such a bad experience. My poor daughter had bad stomach ache while almost finishing the meal. She spent good 30 minutes sitting in that restaurant’s restroom. After we left the restaurant, my kid threw up badly after suffering the pain for 1.5 hour. I tried a bit at last to finish up her dish left over and realized my tummy got hurt. But maybe I just tried a little bit of the fish, and it tasted little weird. From 5:30 till 11pm. I’m daughter was suffering of diarrhea, pain and tired! Thank God she was better with the help of medicine. While waiting for the metro link, we talked to other people and the lady also said she got stomachache after eating at that restaurant one time. GiGi’s by the Pier, formerly known as Pierside Kitchen and Bar, is a small beachside restaurant tucked right under a hotel. We came by around 9 PM on a Saturday and were surprised to be nearly the only people there. After seeing the menu, it made sense, most of their offerings are brunch items, and that ends at 2 PM. The evening menu is slim: mostly sandwiches, a burger, and a few seafood entrées. Nothing really stood out or felt unique for a beachfront spot. That said, it hit the spot for our hungry group, but just barely.

Although the menu is brunch-heavy (brunch ends at 2pm), the burger and fries, and my partner’s salmon BLT, as well as the wine selection and the Pisco Sour cocktail, were fantastic!
