I work in San Clemente 20 weekends a year my group and I have sent many customers to this place. Finally had a chance to try it for myself. Takes alot to get 5 stars out of me. Would totally give a 4. But just couldn't bring myself to do so. The staff was real friendly and the food really tasty. The price alittle high. My disappointment is I was told I can customize the sandwich. So I got the Roast Beef Spicy. Good sandwich. I asked to add turkey. When I got back to work I opened my sandwich ready to eat it and no turkey. $17 for a sandwich, real good potatoes salad and drink. And not get what I ordered. I would suggest if you get it to go to make sure you get what you order. Had a beer while waiting. Had the Common Space a real good stout. Not to strong really smooth and mellow. Really good. So I will still continue to send business to this place but as for me just paying so much to not get what I ordered is just...

I get the need for pricing changes due to pandemic but I fear Board and Brew (and all food establishments) will not plan to revert back when this is all over. Once people get used to this price it will be here to stay. I for one do not plan to support this. Too bad. Maybe prove me otherwise?
Anecdotally, this place is still packed every time I order take out. I can understood there are some new costs and challenges and maybe some disrupted revenue, but since it's always busy I just can't see how they justify a 30-40% increase in price. We are supposed to be in this together....
I like Board and Brew but I can't come as often for practical and principle purposes. Voting with my...
Read moreWe like board and brew... Sadly today I saw a pit bull inside... No employee asked if it's a service dog and asked them to use the patio... It's not hard folks, and it's also against the law/health code. 98% of animals in restaurants are not ADA trained service animals, especially pit pulls which can be a danger to children too. It's not hard to train your employees to say "we only allow animals out in our patio" let them tell you they are a service dog. Most people won't say it's a service dog, but if you ask if it's a service dog they will often say yes and lie at a higher rate. Also I'd like to see a standing sign out from saying no pets or ESA animals are allowed and is against health code... Until then we probably wont be back much... Also for those people who are selfish and inconsiderate of others, please keep your pets at home...
