Itās been exactly three years since weāve been back and I have to say, theyāve improved tremendously. The quality and supply was on par with demand.
Thursdays are now lobster day for $54.99, regular days are $39.99. Plus drinks. We came at 5pm, seated right away to the dining on the right. The left was completely full. We were the only ones on the right by the restrooms then about 6pm, the place was completely packed and several parties waiting in the lobby.
To get our monies worth, we went strictly for seafood choices. The lobster line started behind the salad/fruit bar. The lady would bring out 3 trays at a time, severing one per person.
Being seated by the restrooms was an advantage because we would line up every time we see her come out with the cart. Unlike others, who have been in line the entire time. I timed the process and she came out every 10 mins.
I like my seafood hot and steamed not cold on ice. The snow crab, oysters, muscles, etc were on ice. I stuck with the clams, muscles, shrimps in the hot food area.
The crab was replenished quickly. They were quick with the demand and refilled on a timer. We were seated by the dessert station and I noticed same with crème brûlée.
The lobster was dry because itās baked for so long. It wasnāt moist or juicy. Even the shells were breaking from being so dry. I had 9 halves by myself so thatās like 4.5 lobster. After awhile, I needed a different taste in mouth. Thereās still lots of meat in between the legs, donāt forget to break that apart.
The servers were also attentive and came by often to remove plates from our tables. Thereās a time limit of 1.5 hours. We were getting desserts at the hour mark and left a half hour later. I stuck with lobster but if I were eating crab, I think it should be 2 hour limit for all the cracking.
I think lobster night was worth it. It would have been a bust for me if it was non-lobster night because I donāt like cold crab on ice. There are other buffets around town for much cheaper but not as good quality or options. I would pay more to have everything...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA good friend of mine had treated me to 100s Seafood Buffet as her token of appreciation for helping her move. We both love seafood, however, Iām not a big fan of crab legs and lobster (messy food and canāt hang working for my food). So, we met up on a Monday rather than Thursday (lobster tail night, make sure you get more info on how this works). We figured, less crowd, less lines, and calmer, environment.
We were seated immediately upon our arrival. We sat closer to the sushi bar area. Our server was attentive and friendly, unlike others I have encountered in the past. I wanted to give our server props but I failed to get her name. Bummer. Donāt get me wrong, the servers Iāve had in the past werenāt terrible. Most were bare minimum, no personality, just plain basic. But, then again, itās buffet dining, right. Dirty dishes were always cleared from table and rarely an issue.
100s seafood buffet definitely stands behind its name - tons of selection. In the case of buffet dining, Iāve learned to pace myself and not stuff myself, especially when itās with one food item you plan to eat. After all, I didnāt go to 100s to eat only rice, french fries and Cesar salad. This place is seafood extra, you just need to know where to beginā¦sushi, seafood, meats, poultry, duck, noodles, teppanyaki grill, salads, veggies, fruits, ice cream, rows of desserts⦠i may have missed other stuff but you get the picture. One-stop shop buffet. As for taste, no complaints on my end.
The majority of my dining experience at 100s has been birthday celebrations. Like its predecessor, Todai buffet, I was hoping 100s would offer similar of discount (ie birthdays). Come to find out - they do now!
Lots of free parking. If thereās any room for improvement, the outdoor needs trimming, some bush cutting and removal of dead plants. Definitely not as attractive as the indoor. After all, people pay good money to dine here. The outdoor should be just as important as the indoor
My past and recent dining experience has been...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMyself and my partner ate at this restaurant for the first time on Feb 5, 2023. I ate the raw oysters and my partner did not. In the afternoon of Feb 6, 2023 I started feeling really sick. Non-stop violent vomiting, elevated blood pressure, fever, excruciating stomach and chest pain, and overall weakness. I went to the emergency room that evening because I couldn't stop vomiting or holding down fluids. The doctor ran several test and discovered I had food poisoning. I also have several friends that ate the raw oysters at this establishment within the same week that I did and also had experienced food poisoning. After I was released from the hospital I immediately called their restaurant and they said they would contact their distributor. They offered me 15% off my next visit. Really!? I then got the ER bill of $13,558. my copay part was $2,550. I sent my medical bills to the manager which they then offered to pay included reimburse my meal bill from that day. But when I asked for reimbursement for lost couple days of work and for pain and suffering they refused to assist me and said they would make a claim with their insurance instead and it would take over 6 months to be resolved and that I would only receive a small percentage for my loss. It felt like they didn't care the pain and suffering I experienced or my loss in income. They just want to pass the liability off on their distributor. It is not my issue if the distributor doesn't want to return your calls. Save yourself from the pain and expense I went through its not worth eating here and exposing yourself to food poisoning. They need to take full responsibility and compensate me fully for my loss. I noticed many other reviews on yelp regarding the same food poisoning experience during the same time I visited their establishment. I have contacted an attorney and they are considering a class...
