So, to preface my review, I'm posting this as a former Tea Station employee and customer.
I used to work for Tea Station as a waitress, and it was the worst employment experience I have ever had. Not only was the pay below minimum wage, but the customer service was also atrocious. As an employee, I was able to see the poor quality of service that our customers were dealt with. Missing drinks, late orders, overcharged bills, and a complete disregard for the customer's needs was the norm. For example, customers would often times be left waiting for over 30 minutes despite ordering their drinks to go. Whenever this happens, customers are left waiting for even longer to get their drinks, and they sometimes receive the wrong order. Not to mention, all of the entrees are pre-processed, frozen, and not fresh in the least. The takoyaki, for example, came in large plastic bags that are then stuffed into a microwave for quick cooking. The drinks also suffer from a similar issue, as the majority of their teas are not even "imported from Taiwan". Tea Station attempts to sell a brand of "Oriental delights" for a severely inflated price tag.
As a customer, I dealt with a lot of the same issues above. I also had to wait absurd amounts of time, despite the restaurant being empty, and my order was often times wrong. All the employees always tried to avoid making any possible contact with customers, which is largely due to them knowing only Taiwanese, and they were often times rude. They would never apologize, or give any type of consolation unlike other boba shops. Do yourself a favor, and go to the other boba shops in the area. You'll at least be able to speak to the workers.
Tldr: terrible service, high prices,...
Read moreThis may be the best boba I have had. The boba itself has a wonderful sweet flavor that most places do not have. It is The drinks themselves are really good as well—I have only gotten the thai tea but my friends have ordered the rose milk tea, taro milk tea, etc. and enjoyed it as well. This is a great late-night snack as it is open late! We ended up going here after a concert when nothing else was open in the area and it was a great experience.
Update: The sesame balls were some of the best I have had—and normally I do not like sesame or red bean paste but I ended up having multiple as it is a very large quantity (we had eaten some already before taking the photo—I believe there may have been around 10 total?) The chicken katsu with teriyaki sauce was exceptional too.
One year has passed since the original review and I would still highly recommend. The quality has stayed great and it proves to be a solid place to eat/drink at. It is right off the highway so it is very convenient and has great parking, and has been very reliable for a quick spot to get good food or late-night...
Read moreI would have given this place 5 stars if it hadnt been for the last visit! My friends and I all came from a volleyball game and we were tired and thirsty so we we eagarly ready to order! However, there was no one to take our order! We waited 10 minutes before getting any attention from anyone. Then after we got our drinks two of my friends said the Taro slush tasted really weird, I tried it and agreed so they asked politely if they could get another one and they straight up said no. PLUS they didn't have boba that day so THREE STRIKES AND YOURE OUT.
Now, now that being said. Tea Station has some quality drinks my favorite being the peach oolong tea and the honey milk or just milk green tea. The boba here is one of my absolute favorites but with the wait and the bad service my friends and I are willing to go somewhere else. Too bad tea station is open quite late and honestly we'll probably be back. remember CASH ONLY! unless you order over 10 dollars.
Its such a hard battle with this one but i usually give in. Tell me if you find...
