It’s easily one of the best all-you-can-eat sushi spots in town. Little Sakana’s (Mira Mesa) sushi rolls all taste the same because they use a lot of the same fillings like artificial crab in every roll. Isushi has good variety but they are far (Chula Vista). The fish is incredibly fresh and cut to perfection. Everything tastes high quality, not what you’d expect from a typical AYCE experience. The menu has a great variety, from sashimi to creative specialty rolls, and every dish is beautifully presented. The only downside is the fact that salmon sashimi and nigiri are no longer on the menu. Although smoked salmon is still on the menu for sashimi and nigiri. I got the Ultra menu because I wanted to try the wagyu and scallops. The wagyu was really good. The scallops were good as well but I wish I selected 3 orders of wagyu and one scallop order. One other con, are the soups, the miso, hot and sour, and tonkatsu ramen were all on the watery side.

The service here is top-notch. We were quoted 45-60 min wait, and waited 45 minutes to be seated even though there were many empty tables. It’s still a fairly new restaurant so I can only assume they are short staffed. There are noticeably more employees at a kBBQ restaurant where the restaurant is smaller. That being said, once we were finally sat, the staff is friendly, attentive, and quick, which makes the whole dining experience even better. I also love how the restaurant feels clean and inviting, perfect for casual dinners or a fun night out.

For an AYCE restaurant the tables are well spaced apart from each other. At one point the restaurant was full and I could easily talk to the other people at the dinner table which is super rare to find for a full restaurant in the convoy area.

Also, the parking lot is HUGE, so I easily found a parking spot which is rare for this area and it being an AYCE restaurant.

If you’re looking for great sushi without compromising on quality while still enjoying the AYCE experience, this is the place to go!

I really appreciated Hector our server. He was amazing!!!! With tip it was...

tldr: terrible restaurant, terrible service, there are better and cheaper options within 10 minutes of this restaurant.

Hey guys! I'm visiting California as a little vacation, so if you go through my profile and see most of my ratings are based in Texas, this is the explanation for that.

Let's start off with the entrance and how the greeting was handled -- everything started off great. It was about a 5-10 minute wait for our group of 6 to be seated; this was totally understandable, as it did seem to be very busy at the time.

Moving onto the next section, we have the whole ordering food and waiting process. Our server took our order relatively quickly, and within a few minutes, the food started coming out for 1 out of the 6 people in our party. This was pretty great, as everything they ordered came to them within minutes. The rest of the party had to wait for about 10-20 minutes for their portions to come out; this was once again reasonable due to how many customers were seated in the building. I however ordered only 2 items -- the items being avocado rolls and chicken gyoza. I had waited about 20-30 minutes for these rolls to come out, just for the portion size to be abysmal, and the taste to be mediocre at best -- which not even soy sauce could save. This did kill my appetite, and I might have been expecting a little too much from avocado rolls (a bland food), but I have tasted better for $10 at a mall restaurant.

Moving onto the bill -- I did ask if I could pay for the food a-la-carte as I only got 2 dishes, only to get turned down as per the "policy". I later on went to ask about this so called policy, only to find out that there was no policy to begin with, and they allegedly didn't even do a-la-carte. (Photos will be included below showing that on their outside windows, they offer DoorDash and Uber Eats, and even going on to offer a-la-carte as a feature at their restaurant)

If you like enjoying your meals and still having money in your pocket; please look elsewhere. I do not care that this place is having it's "Grand Opening", I...

Decided to try out this place with a couple of friends and we enjoyed our dinner immensely!

We arrived at 6pm and there was no wait for a table. The host sat us immediately and kindly explained how the ordering would work. We gave or first order and within minutes the food started coming out. We were shocked at the quick efficiency that the food was coming out with, most other AYCE places will take +15 minutes for plates to get out. The food comes over as they are ready and prepped so it can be a little chaotic to keep track of everything but that's the plus of AYCE, you can always order more!

The quality of the fish was very satisfactory. The cuts were generous and everything was prepared very well. We particularly enjoyed their eel and avocado handrolls and escolar hand rolls. The mango salmon sashimi appetizer and tuna tataki were also extremely flavorful and delicious! Their mackerel was very fresh along with every other fish we ordered. The best part was you can order everything as nigiri OR sashimi!

The service was excellent. Our server Shane was quick with our order and knowledge and very accommodating. All of the other waiters and servers that we interacted with were also extremely friendly and a joy to interact with. Anything we asked for, napkins, drinks, ginger and wasabi, it was all brought out right away.

Overall, we had near 0 complaints about our experience here. The only unfortunate thing was that they were out of uni so we did not want to do the ultra AYCE option.

I definitely recommend coming here if you enjoy AYCE sushi! Have a safe bomb or try the fried cheesecake too, it's...

This had to be one of the worse Japanese restaurants I've been to. I already expected the quality to not be great since it was an AYCE place but man! There's a few different tiers to choose from, and they make you choose it before being seated. The rolls presentation looked nice but the flavors itself were lacking. The sushi rice didn't have the distinct taste. It was rather dry, flavorless, and smelled as if it wasn't washed well or too old. That made the whole experience unpleasant, whether it was a roll or sushi. As long as it had rice, it didn't make me want a second bite. It was more like having to force myself to finish everything, if not everything was a la carte price, which still wouldn't be worth the cost. Sushi were plentiful with rice and fish fell right off the block as it was picked up. I'm not even sure how to properly describe the appetizers. The fried calamari were cold, dry, and hard. Not pleasing to the eye, either. The mango salmon was more like, cut the salmon as you please in little snippets and throw it on the plate with some sauce, and drop it off at the table. The only good thing about this place was timing. Everything came out FAST! That's it. Just rethinking about the whole experience makes me upset. It was an absolute waste of money!!
