The Worst: Walmart Store 4840 Sahwline St, San Diego - CA and Walmart Online. So today I went to return 3 items at the Walmart Store. These items I bought at Walmart online but for the return option, I chose to go directly to the store that was more convenient. One of the items came missing parts and broken (it took me 6 hours to assemble and there was no other way). Another item they sell is a set of things that don't work together by third parties. Anyway, when I entered the store with customer service, I was attended by Ms. SHU who already looked tired from work. The option is valid when returning to the Walmart store, there is no need to pack and it is still quite clear that they can pack themselves if necessary. This stressed woman (Mrs. SHU) said I would have to pack. I said I wouldn't do it and she asked me to come back to my house and when I had the packing of the items I would come back. I called her manager (Mr. Taylor) who was very kind and tried to adjust even without the packaging. In the third item, she really didn't want to send. Once again Mr. Taylor had to come and find a plastic return envelope as it was a small and light item. She continued to be gruff and rude (I think she needs a vacation from work). I asked to speak to Taylor's manager and, after 30 minutes of waiting, Mr. Kyle (Coach) arrived, who seemed uncertain about wanting to hear from me. IT SEEMS everyone at this Walmart store is afraid of this woman from customer service. Imagine. One of the most important areas of a store is customer service and we are being treated very poorly. I stayed there for a while and saw that she is mean to everyone. She looks like she owns the store and looks like she's doing people favors; she is intolerant and aggressive as well as a little agitated. If this woman is in trouble, why do we consumers have to accept it? I already asked a few friends today and everyone already knows this woman's reputation in this store. It's a shame because the store is losing customers, losing credibility because of this woman's incompetence is simply treating people well; I think her superiors also have problems because they know it and don't take any action. Sad and frustrating.

Good Walmart supermarket. Clean store, staff is friendly, and parking is easy.

I had an absolutely disgusting experience at the Walmart on Shaw Line Street. This store is in unacceptable condition, and management clearly does not care about cleanliness, organization, or the overall shopping experience. First, the shelves are filthy and rusted, making it clear that they haven’t been properly cleaned or maintained in a long time. It’s shocking that food and household items are being placed on such unsanitary surfaces. Second, I found opened and half-eaten chocolate products still sitting on the shelves. This is not only gross but also a clear sign that the store does not monitor or remove tampered items. It makes me question how often they check their inventory for safety and hygiene. Lastly, I came across a bottle of juice that had already been opened and left on the shelf among other grocery items. This is beyond unsanitary and unacceptable—why is no one checking for this kind of thing? This Walmart is a mess, and the level of neglect is appalling. I will not be returning, and I highly suggest management steps up their game before this store becomes a complete health hazard. Avoid this location unless you want to shop in filth!

If you're interested in buying a bike, "purchasing online is going to be your best bet" is what I was told by an associate in store. I already know having zero expectations is the way to go with Walmart in general. Today was the 2nd time I tried to get some assistance with buying a bike. The first time the kid didn't know how to do anything and didn't know how to call someone to help him so I just looked for the area he had pointed out for an in-stock model which led to a dead end. Today I pressed the button the lady came over and helped me, she was pleasant enough I had scanned the barcode already for her to search it up. We walked over to the garden area which she saw that the bike was there in box, she had to figure out how to get someone over there to help with the purchase and did call a manager, to which the manager responded that he was doing something in the warehouse and was not available. Wow... that is more sad than the employees not knowing what to do. A manager that does not even ask questions or offer another solution. I was then told that my best bet to get this done would be to order it online and have it delivered to my home. Not sure why you can't go into a retail store and purchase something that they have three of in stock and walk out with it that same day?? You would think if a customer wants to make a significant purchase that someone in store would be capable or trained to know what to do. Again, expectations were already low....but you can do much...

Wow three years ago I rated this place 4 stars. That's crazy.

The staff here today 8/20/24 were extremely hostile and rude towards me. I was walking around the clearance sections picking up some things for my daughter and I saw a whole rack of kids clothes that were $1. So obviously I got some. There were these pink sparkly shorts that I found on that rack and it had a $1 clearance tag on it. It was the only one there, so I got it and thought nothing of it until it rang up at $13. So I called the cashier over and was like this is supposed to be a dollar. She rips the clearance tag off and says nope it's $13.

So then I ask for a manager. Who was also extremely rude and who was treating me like I'm trying to pull one over on them. I found it on that rack and they treated me like I was lying to their face and trying to steal. The second manager even scoffed at me and said no that's not the only one. The managers refused to mark the product down took the item to the back and called it a "recovery". Not a go back, a recovery. I was a cashier for years. I know what that means.

Seriously, if it was the wrong price and someone moved it there that is not my fault. Good customer service representatives would have apologized, and said "I'm sorry it was on the wrong rack, we can't mark it down, here let me take that off for you". Instead they were mean, and hostile and I had to call them back to take the item off my screen.

It costs you nothing to be...
