BHC Chicken Rancho Bernardo — Restaurant in San Diego

Happy and hopeful when I heard BHC was coming to Rancho Bernardo. So far, so good. The staff are very nice, courteous, very helpful and make the process very pleasant. The chicken is super crispy on the outside and moist and tender inside, tasted great. We've tried a couple of dipping sauces so far and liked them both.

Regarding the Matcho King flavor: It is really super tasty, but just so you aren't suprised, It is not a crispy fried chicken experience. The chicken is heavily sauced after frying, so if you want crisp, this one is not for you. But if you want a ton of saucy flavor it might be just what you're looking for. :) Finger licking good.

They have quite a few other options aside from just fried chicken. In particular they have a lunch combo that is sauced chicken tenders, japchae (a Korean noodle & vegetable salad) and rice that is a nice option. We pay $1 additional to skip the rice and get more japchae. The japchae could use a few more vegetables but it is seasoned nicely.

It's a small take-out place, there is a lot of seating in the large patio in front of it if you want to eat there with your family on a nice day. Definitely worth a try...we've...

This is my go-to chicken place, and it never disappoints. I recently ordered chicken for a Sunday evening church gathering, and as always, the experience was excellent. The restaurant was clean and filled with the delicious aroma of freshly cooked chicken.

The staff greeted me warmly, and the female manager in particular was incredibly kind and helpful. She welcomed me with a big smile and took her time to explain the menu when I asked for something different from my usual order. Her customer service is always exceptional — I truly believe she sets the gold standard when it comes to hospitality.

BHC Chicken is a new addition to the Vons anchored strip mall in RB. It replaced the old Subway and what a food choice upgrade! To start, this is a take out only place, there is no inside seating but ample outdoor seating directly outside to eat your food. I have found the food excellent and consistent. I have tried their lunch specials, their sandwiches and tenders, and several of their sides. The food is always hot, well packaged, and delicious. The store front is very clean and the customer service I have received has been very good. There is plenty of parking nearby to pick up your order or dine in the outdoor area. The price point is extremely reasonable for the value. My only word of advice is properly cooked fried chicken takes a minute to cook, expect a bit of a wait if you order...
