Board & Brew - Del Sur — Restaurant in San Diego

I don't know why I keep giving this place a chance, but I end up annoyed every time.

I really like the idea, and the restaurant itself is chill and close to my home, but I'd purchased food here at least a dozen times before I said forget it because EVERY TIME my order was wrong.... something is missing from the sandwich, I'm given the wrong sandwich, or something is missing from the whole order, etc. 0/12

Today... I asked my daughter to get me an Italian sandwich since she was already going but I told her to check the order before she left. I mean, how hard is it to screw up an Italian sub?

An Italian sub usually has ITALIAN meats and ITALIAN cheese. Board & Brew's Italian influence stops with Genoa salami, apparently. No pepperoni, no Italian ham like mortadella, or provolone cheese. Nope... this one has smoked ham and... turkey? With SWISS cheese. And mustard??? No tomatoes.

What?

And.... they screwed up the 3rd item on this order, because of course. Big difference between a wrap and whatever this was - basically the inside of a sandwich dumped into a clamshell container.

Just rename that sandwich to ANYTHING else, OR make an actual Italian sub, and make sure the orders are...

First time at a Board & Brew. Woman at the order counter was genuinely friendly and took the time to describe the sauces that are paired with each of the sandwiches I was considering, while letting me and my friend know about the hotter sauce available at the condiment table. The sauces are served in the little clear containers so you can add sauce to your sandwich as you desire. Ordered a locally crafted pint beer for the both of us, and we took an outside table. 60 seconds later, our beers arrived, and four minutes after that, so did the sandwiches. This during the tail end of the noon-hour on a Friday. Amazing! My friend loved his sandwich (I forgot what it was), while I had a Turkado as recommended by many reviewers here. I combined the hot sauce with the sauce that came with the Turkado, and the whole thing was absolutely delicious, and just the right size for lunch. I would suggest something they could improve upon, but I was so wowed by the experience with the food and the workers there that I cannot find anything that could be improved upon. See...

Poor Customer Service...

Whether its: Rude/Sarcastic Attitudes from the staff Overcharging for items I did not order; hence, having to correct my order multiple times every time I visit Or, Long unnecessary wait times; for example, people who have ordered after me as well as multiple online orders who receive their food prior to my order

I will not return to this location.

I noticed the restaurant is run by young teens who socialize rather than serve customers and focus on providing great customer service. It is rare for me to take the time out of my day to write a review reflecting negatively on a business. With that being said, I felt strongly to do so after being told by multiple friends they noticed the issue as well.

I recommend going to the original location in Del Mar (Father + Son Business who I know & have been going to for years & never experienced a problem such as this) or the location in Scripps Ranch (Again, never experienced a problem like this at this...
