This place was suggested by a friend so we decided to try it. We ordered: drunken noodles w shrimp, SPICY yellow curry w chicken, chicken Thom Ka soup, and cheese wontons. We were asked if the order was for here or to go, and we said 'for here'.
Much to our surprise, the food was brought out in to-go containers with wrapped plastic ware. The drunken noodles were served in a box without shrimp. The curry and thom ka were served in a soup container placed inside a cardboard bowl. I almost told the server, "we said it was for here."
Food: 1) The curry was very watery. It lacked coconut milk, so it did not have the texture of curry. It did not have a bit of spice. Thai food is known to be spicy, 2) Drunken noodles were bland and served wo shrimp. 3) Thom Ka didn't have enough coconut milk and seemed very watery, as well. 4) The cheese wontons were not at all tasty. The cheese had an orange shade to it and tasted like orange cheese wrapped in a wonton wrapper. 5) The chili paste has no spice what so ever and tasted much like the sweet and sour packets they offered.
We decided to take the leftovers home and were given two huge paper bags for our leftovers. There were small paperbags there, but the server decided to give us the big bags. I purposely left my almost full order on the counter, but after spending the money, we brought it back to the 'starving (college) students' at home.
The restaurant itself is nice and clean, but the food and the way the food is served ruined our expectations of a Thai restaurant in 4s ranch. We believe that the cost of having a restaurant in 4S ranch is expensive, and the owners of the restaurant are doing a much as they can to cut costs on their food. We won't be...
Read moreI’m giving 2 stars for the service. The lady that took my order to go wasnt any friendly at all. I ordered a green curry with Tofu and veggies and even clarified her to please do it with both, and when I returned after 15 minutes to pick it up she wasn’t even look at me or telling me if my order was ready or not. It was the other lady, a younger one that has a better attitude and she asked my name for the order and told me it was almost ready, so I stayed there waiting for another 7 minutes, until this second lady figured out that my order has been ready for the entire time, which the First Lady not even apologize or anything for not giving it to me when I first got there. So overall, very bad energy tonight. Sad because I love the food in this place. Uhh and the cherry in the cake was that they didn’t put the tofu...
Read moreEdit number two: removed two stars for consistently adding severely unripe mangos to the mango sticky rice. The sticky rice is delicious, but why do you keep allowing unripe mangos to go out the door? This last one had the texture of a crisp apple.
Edit: They have definitely gotten past their original wait times from when they first opened! I would say average wait for a call in order is 10-15 minutes now. Food is great, and I no longer have an issue with the salt! Definitely the best Thai option around!
Original: Great service, but long time (30 minutes) for a call in order. Food is really good, restaurant looks really nice (although limited seating) and the food tastes great! Also prices are reasonable! Noodles are fresh, but I gave 4 stars because the meal was a little on the salty side, and I...
