Boba Love 2 — Restaurant in San Diego

I want to like this place, I really do, as it's so, so to my job. But the frozen yogurt was very clearly ice cream. And the boba is flavored with these powders instead of syrups and, since the drink is cold, they don't mix well at all and leave a weird film on your tongue. I tried asking once if they could just serve me the milk tea without any powders and was told no. My coworkers and I have both had reoccurring issues with the boba breaking down, as if it had been made quite a few hours before. The toppings looked very, very old.

I do leave a star because they are very nice people, they really are. But this is a shop that specializes in three foods that are very simple to make and maintain - two of them are just frozen products you can buy in bulk and add toppings to. And boba and simple syrups aren't hard to make. Hell, I've made good boba at home sometimes, I just don't like the cool down times for the hot tea for my morning routine because going from boiling to cold takes an hour and a half in the freezer. And simple syrup that mixes well with cold drinks are literally sugar and water on a pot, and there's ones you can buy too. Got an acai bowl with extra peanut butter and granola which was really good. Had the right level of sweetness (some place way over due it and make the acai super sugar heavy). I beleive it was the owner that surved me, really nice and made it her priority that you got what you asked for and how you liked it (felt really sincere and not some check in for show sake). Also picked up some sweet Hello Kitty plushues at a really good deal. She doesn't charge crazy prices for them which is appreciated when I've seen some places double the purchase cost and act like they are selling you a deal. On a whim, I googled "Boba Miramar Rd" because I was late to class but wanted a quick hit of sugar. I didn't think there was anything on Miramar Road but this place showed up on my map so I went in. Service was really great, the ladies in there were really nice and fast. I got the coconut milk tea with 0% sugar and the Honey boba. The tea was the perfect amount of sweetness with the boba, which was soft and squishy. I also got the Bubble Waffle with Acai and berries. The waffle was hot, fresh and crispy, the acai sorbet was perfect and the berries sweet. Will definitely...
