I'm a commercial driver i.e. trucker...I've traveled 43 continental states...I've been to every major city except for Miami..that said, I'm an expert on fast food service!!! I live at fast food restaurants...I've experienced the worst customer service in Los Angeles and San Diego, especially if they are Young African American decent...I myself am mixed with African American, Native American on my mom's side, Scottish American my dad's side and I grow up in San Diego with it's rich Mexican culture. So, I'm " Mixician" On 06/03/18 at 7:02 PM I went into store/restaurant # 1100168. I was taking my break there, lunch wash my hands and use to bathroom, etc . So I walk in and asked cashier/ manager for a token so I could use the bathroom. Well, I was informed that I must purchase something first! I says " well, I wanna use the bathroom and wash my hands before I order and eat. The young African American lady says to me, It's our policy that we don't allow anyone to use the bathroom unless the purcahes first!" So I informed " Lanae" that I have been coming to this particular Carl's Jr since before she was even born for one,...two, I have a handicap placard on my car,...I'm a Veteran, grandfather, homeowner, and I have my own transportation business.. now do I look homeless?! Do I look like a drug dealer?! An I some young high school kid?! No I'm 51 yrs old. I did not appreciate her blatant un hospitableness, she was NOT VERY WELCOMING! I DID NOT FEEL WELCOMED THERE! now, here's my point us professional driver make up about 50% of revenues fast food restaurants generate, at least. Hence, we should get the red carpet...
Read moreHorrible service, horrible food! There was NO ONE in the restaurant since they have the dining room closed (understandably) and there was only one person waiting on the side for their food. We had to park and wait for the chicken strips. Ok, no biggie, we get it. We get home to cold soggy food cause they made everything else and put the entire bag under the heat lamp. The bag was very hot to the touch. I had to throw the bottom of the bun in the trash it was almost non existant by this point. Most of the crispy chicken strips were all crisp and NO chicken. Huh??? And we waited for that??? What a joke! I don't care if they are short staffed, you had 2 customers! If they were busier, I would understand. By the way, you cannot ever drive by this place without seeing a line at the drive thru any day or time. So with no one in line waiting AT LUNCH HOUR RUSH (12:30'ish pm) that now speaks volumes with the bad quality of food. I used to rave about how consistent they were compared to other fast food joints and they have a massive menu, my mind has been changed. And this was before and even after the pandemic hit. We...
Read moreI go to this establishment a lot. However, my experience this morning means I will not go back. It’s kind of a small thing but honesty and integrity is very important to me. I went through the drive-through this morning and ordered a monster biscuit combo small with a small coffee. The AI accurately took my order and gave me a total of $10.44. When I got to the window, the worker said “monster biscuit medium?” No, I ordered a monster biscuit combo small I stated and handed her my debit card. She came back a few moments later and handed me my debit card without a receipt. Then I received my bag and there was no receipt in the bag either. I was on my way to work and running a little behind so I drove off. I checked my bank account when I got to work and saw that she had charged me for a monster biscuit medium at $11.40. Like I said, it’s a small thing. But it’s the kind of thing that indicates to me this is not a business I will continue to use.
I have noticed a trend like this in a lot of different fast food restaurants so it seems my options for a fast meal on the way to work are getting smaller by the...
