We were looking for an inexpensive casual place to eat near our hotel. We saw this place online and thought it was worth a try. We couldn't have chosen better! We had our daughter and her 2 little kids with us. The place isn't fancy at all, but it was clean. We ordered chicken fajitas with no cheese or sour cream for my daughter, due to her dairy allergy, chicken nachos for her kids to share, my husband ordered a Pollo asada chimichanga and I ordered a carne asada tostada. We were all very happy with our food. There were quite a few return customers coming and going with take out, as well as some eating there like we did. It is a hole-in-the-wall kind of place, no frills, but the food is great for a good price, from $10-$12 each, and that's all we cared about!

I used to frequent Carmen's at their original location. The food was always wonderful and fresh. The family that owns it is the best and still are Ive been to their current location in the past but it has been a few years. Today I came in to eat here again, after I'd guess close to 10 years since the last time. The food was exactly as I remember it. Delicious and fresh and hot. The best chicken burrito I've ever had is from Carmen's!! Still the same folks here that I remember from all those years ago. Very happy I came back today. It's nice to see a place that still cares about quality and making people happy.

I was excited to try out this little hole in the wall based on the reviews. Was not impressed. Server did not know difference between huevos rancheros and huevos Al Mexicano. Was curt and not that helpful in describing the options- maybe bc locals and regulars come by that she felt that we should know what the options entailed. There was no descriptive menu so all we had was the names of things. Ordered guacamole enchiladas, which were in the saltier side, and nachos asados. Food was ok- but we wouldn’t drive to come here nor really come by if we were close.

I couldn't say enough good about this place if I tried! We walked in with two little kids and found the staff to be extremely friendly and accommodating. Rather than being annoyed, they were fun and interacted with the kids. They even made sure to offer plastic silverware for them!

In addition to the amazing service, the food is INCREDIBLE. I'm sitting here eating my leftovers the next day (without reheating them since we're driving) and I'm still impressed. I am not a fan of fake, Americanized Mexican food so when I go somewhere, I want something authentic with no frills. That's exactly what I found! Authentic, delicious, and good enough to make me wish I lived close enough to go weekly. Because I absolutely would.

AND! As if that isn't enough, the menu is extremely diverse with tons of choices and the prices are perfect! Honestly, I would gladly pay twice as much for how good it is and how large the portions are. But instead, the prices are extremely affordable. We will absolutely be back the next time we...
