🌯🌟 11/10 Review for Justine at CAVA: A True Hummus Hero 🌟🌯

Let me tell you about Justine, the literal chickpea whisperer and tahini queen of CAVA. If customer service were a bowl, she’d be extra everything — extra kind, extra fast, and extra guac... even though they don’t technically have guac.

From the moment I walked in, Justine greeted me with the energy of a toasted pita — warm, golden, and ready to scoop up my day and make it better. I didn’t even need to say “hi,” because she already tzatziki-ed me out of the crowd and said, “Hey friend, let’s build your bowl!”

I was falafel-ing apart from hunger, and she built that bowl like it was the Great Wall of Chickpeas. Every scoop was made with precision and passion. When I asked for double chicken, she didn’t hesitate. She double-chickened with conviction. I swear she made that lemon herb tahini drizzle look like performance art. Jackson Pollock would’ve wept.

And her speed? Blistering. By the time I blinked, my bowl was done, my drink was filled, and my soul had been spiritually refreshed with a Mediterranean mist of mint and cucumber. There were actual olives watching from the toppings bar, crying tears of briney joy.

She’s not just an employee — she’s a CAVA-lry of flavor and friendliness.

When I asked if she was the manager (because how is one human THIS efficient and delightful?), she just smiled and said, “Nope, I’m Justine.” JUSTINE? More like JUST-LEGENDARY.

Honestly, if the world had more Justines, we’d achieve world peas.

11/10 — would build a civilization around her customer service. Would let her pick my toppings, life decisions, and even the next Supreme Court justices.

Give that girl a raise. Or at least a...

I visited this location yesterday at around 530 pm. The worker there was stingy and rude. At the La Jolla location they will give you 1 and a half scoops of rice but this guy (young male) gave me 1 scoop and when I asked for a little more he said "I'm going to charge you for extra" like are you serious? He wasn't friendly at all. Like if you really hated your job than don't work there but don't take your frustration out on the customers! No ones forcing you to work there- you made this decision yourself. I understand you have to make money somehow but taking your frustration out on a customer isn't benefiting anyone and is actually hurting the business. It shows that employees lack consistency most likely because of poor training from upper management and their own personal frustrations. Down the line another employee came up to him and told him while he was with another customer"hey you can actually give the customer more" His demeanor and behavior was so poor and he is so dumb that he doesn't even know the company's policy and is just making up his own rules. I'm sure he just didn't start his shift at 5 pm that day and he's just being told this? What a terrible person. But did he fix the issue with me or with anyone else? Nope. Not even an apology. Won't be...

This CAVA store is TERRIBLE Do not order online! I bought six bowls ($86) that I frequently order at other locations so I know exactly what to expect. However when I picked up I noticed some of the bowls looked pretty empty. I showed the manager (Omar) the size of the portions and he immediately reacted and said that is what they are supposed to look. He was rude and didn't not take any responsibility, he didn't not offer to remake the bowls or to fix the problem , so I asked for a refund. Omar took forever because I paid with Apple Pay and he obviously had no idea how to do it. He was unable to give me a confirmation of refund (printed, e-mailed or sent to my app) He said he processed my refund but there is no sign of that anywhere. I had to leave without food, without a refund confirmation, and I had to contact my credit card directly to explain the situation. Never going back to CAVA one paseo! If you order online, you should avoid this store or pay attention to what you get. Some of this bowls were $15 and could not feed a kid. Other customers here have reported the same problem ad even posted pictures of the ridiculous portions. Other CAVA locations have much better service, specially for pick up. I am sure it has to do with who the...

Food is seasoned well and most items are very fresh. Toppings are nice but your limited to how many you can choose which to me isn't that good of a deal. I want everything I can get when I go to places and that's what I expect from these chipotle style restaurants. Price is fair but definitely could be cheaper as to what I just mentioned about the toppings. Overall good place to take yourself once in awhile don't see myself eating here that often. Last thing to metion was the staff isn't the best I was going in for the first time and needed a rundown of how the bowls and pitas work, and I was met with a lazy response and felt like I was being rushed when I was the only one in there.

I love CAVA, and for 2021-2022 I had no bad experiences here. But I have had problems with every meal this year and this past year. Missing items, major cross-contamination, today I just recieved a bowl after an hour of waiting after the scheduled pick-up time that didn't have *any* of the toppings listed on the tag literally stickered to the container from mobile order, 2 meatballs total, and barely any spinach. It's unfortunate, I do like their food but the service has been so awful I just cannot in good faith recommend this place anymore.
