We had a reservation at 5, but arrived earlier and were able to be seated right away. It was a Thursday during their happy hour (3:30-5:30pm) which is 40% off all menu items except MP fish, specials and sashimi. The happy hour prices are totally worth it! We tried the agedashi tofu - lightly breaded, medium soft tofu with a side of Yuzu/Ponzu. We also had the shishito peppers which were delicious and had a kick of heat/spices. Not pictured was a bowl of miso soup, pretty standard in traditional miso flavoring. Our main entrees were the lemon roll, yellowtail special roll and cucumber protein roll. The lemon roll was delicious, very light lemon flavor. The yellowtail special roll was also very flavorful - topped with a de-seeded jalapeño with a drop of sriracha on top added nice heat and complemented the yellowtail. Our final roll was a cucumber protein roll (no rice) and is made with assorted fish. Other than a slight challenge to pick up the softened cucumber, it was a great alternative to traditional rolls! We recognized that the restaurant was shortstaffed, so we didn’t mind any wait when it came to our server being occupied with a few larger groups in the restaurants. Our server was very kind and helpful. The restaurant space is pretty cozy, only one restroom in the back, but there is a public restroom a short walk from the restaurant if that one is occupied. Wheelchair accessibility will be a tight squeeze in some spaces. I would come back to this restaurant again, but only for the happy hour prices based on atmosphere, food quality,...

Had a dinner with my daughter tonight, the service was horrible, food as well. Our server brought us waters and then disappeared for 20 mins, the sushi guys watched us wait and then had to ask another person to take our order. My 8 year old tried way more sushi than average kid and she couldn't eat the caterpillar roll. I tried a piece and it tasted really bad, the eel wasn't fresh and the avocado on top looked nasty. We had 4 different people randomly stopping by the table, and I mentioned to one of them that the sushi wasn't good. Later when my short ribs finally arrived, I asked for a knife to cut some for my daughter (instead of caterpillar roll) since she is doing ortho and can't chew ribs well. One of the servers (I had to ask of course, no one cared about checking on us) gave us a PLASTIC knife for korean BBQ short ribs. We were dining inside the restaurant, feels more like a fast food grab-on-the-go place. And I actually made a reservation for this place. The miso soup arrived last, which was interesting. After I mentioned that we didn't like the sushi to another server, they took 50% off because we had 2 pieces! How else otherwise we'd know? And that's after 20 mins of waiting to order (and advance reservation) and cutting ribs with plastic knives. I still don't know if this place has a manager, I talked to 4 different servers and all they could say is "i'm so sorry", no manager around. Bad choice for a special night...

The sushi is pretty good. The service was awful. They forgot to ring in a few dishes, which is no big deal, it happens... But it took literally 15min to be greeted at the table after the server already said we can sit anywhere we liked on the patio. We were the only people out there. They didn't bring us waters, the food came out in the reverse order... entree came out first, followed by apps and soups. That's not a huge deal, but it seems like there was a lack of communication between servers and 2 servers were taking things back and forth. Quality checks are important, just a simple how are things tasting... but we got zero words coming from the staff. They didn't clear any plates either, and if you know from edamame and sushi sometimes there's a bit of a mess left over. Dirty dishes should be cleared throughout the meal. But it seemed like they didnt want to take the extra steps to come out to the patio which is literally right next to the front door. We sadly won't be back, there are so many sushi options and I refuse to spend top dollar prices on sushi if the service is below standards. One Paseo is an Awesome place and a great place for a business. I hope they treat others like they are wanted, so their business thrives and improves. But this...

Came here for dinner. I had a yellowtail sashimi appetizer, edamame and salmon kama. My wife had the teriyaki chicken and gyoza combo. Everything was excellent. The salmon kama was a generous portion and perfectly cooked. It came with a ponzu sauce on the side. It was nice and fatty, but not overly so. I would rate it as the best salmon kama in the local zip code. The hamachi sashimi was very fresh and also was a generous portion for the price. My wife also enjoyed her dinner. It came with miso soup, grilled teriyaki chicken, gyoza, rice and a garden salad with a ginger dressing. The teriyaki sauce had nice sweetness to it and wasn't overly salty. The gyoza came pan fried with a tempura/ponzu sauce to dunk them in that was very tasty. In my opinion, one of the stars of her meal was the ginger dressing on the salad. It was bright and refreshing. The servers were very attentive and friendly. There was a very large group of young people sitting next to us that were being quite loud. But other than that, which wasn't the restaurant's fault, everything was 5 stars. Definitely going to add this to my list of restaurants that I frequent.

Absolutely love Mizuki Yama! My son and I have come here for years since One Paseo was established. They have amazing happy hours on the menu , not just certain items . Delicious rolls and hot saki. The Su Chefs are friendly and so talented . The sushi bar is spacious . There is a lovely dinning set up with privacy and open room tables. Always clean and awesome friendly servers. Always quick and efficient. They have 2 televisions with sports behind the bar. I enjoy sharing this experience now with my new husband . One Paseo is just a classy compound of shops and a variety of eateries , bars and restaurants. You will not leave disappointed with Mizuki Yama . Groovy tunes always plying also . Ask for Serene !! Adorable and bouncy , efficient waitress. Thank you !
