My visit started off well; I was with two special people who had recently help me from hitting the very floor at a time when I was hitting rock bottom. I appreciate them in my life, so as token of my appreciation, I would pay for this or dinner/lunch. We checked in and were quickly seated by the friendly and courteous host. Now at our table enjoying a lively conversation, we were soon greeted by our waiter - he too, very friendly and professional. We ordered appetizers and drinks and continued on with our merry making. Soon, our meals arrived, so we began to eat; i must add: the ribs, the burgers, and everything cooked, were cooked to perfection. And made to be very tasty. The broccoli and corn: superb; both had obviously, been prepared by a chef who knows his way around a kitchen. More food was ordered and promptly delivered. We thought the spicy burger would be too much for one in our company. But no; he said it possessed a perfect compromise and just was right for his taste buds. Drinks flowed like the good conversation between us and we all enjoyed our time spent together. At one point during the ordering phase, our waited actually seated himself with us - at our table! Initially, I was slightly shocked, but the charisma and charm of our waiter brought forth a connection that was well timed, natural and well received. A special kudos goes out him. Desert and coffee brought home this most delicious of meals and they too, were equally scrumptious. If any bad could be spoken of our visit and i was pressed for an answer,, One single item our party ordered had not come to our table as ordered; the particulars of this item escapes me but, thw problem was quickly resolved and a replacement was delivered to our table by the general manager. I believe this was a great move because the manager gave us the opportunity to comment on our experience, the meal, the decorations, parking...anything! We're all ready and willing to know what's good, but its a special manager who will open himself up to the fire; and be willing to take that heat. With this move, he showed his willingness to take some fire that we, or anyone else may have given to a member of his staff. He is a great manager, to me, judging by the way we were treated by his staff and himself, the entire time we were there. Here now i will say: this particular visit to Chillis was my best experience ever at Chillis. From the dear ones seated with me, to the very professional, courteous, friendly and professional staff who made us feel welcomed and who provided us with a meal...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām not sure if they were short staff, or just over the night. We had our server, who was nice. Took our orders, and could tell was smiling under the mask, the part that had me confused was when another men from the back came with our drinks and slightly slammed it in the middle of our table. Didnāt think much of it until 15 mins go by and I realize half of the table still havenāt received their drinks nor appetizers. So I let our server know once he comes by. He said he would see what happened and would go and grab us our drinks as well as bring the appetizers for two people sitting at the table, context clues half of us were already eating our entry thatās how long they took. Iām sure they forgot and wouldnāt have brought it if I didnāt mention that there was food missing. The food was cold, my sisters ordered the Cajun chicken pasta with grilled chicken, unfortunately the chicken looked slightly undercooked. The fries that came with my chicken tenders were cold and also taste like it couldāve been fried a bit longer. Because of how slow everything was I didnāt even bother asking for another plate instead took my food to go so I could warm it at home which sucks. Only reason I didnāt complain was because the server was nice, although other people came with our food. Not even sure who they were, the guy who brought our food didnāt even have a mask on which was weird since he got really close. He also brought my nephew his fajitas said it was hot but proceeded to have it over his head to place it on the table. Def wasnāt careful at all. Anyways my experience was def ruined, and probably wonāt be returning to this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreReceived a gift card so we went to Chilis. Haven't been to a Chili's since a horrible experience at the Grossmont location.
We didn't get plates with our food. Well, we received one plate. We asked for more plates from the food-dropper-offer and only got one.
We asked our server for another plate, along with refills. We got the refills. No plate. And we got 2/3 of the refills. Server ghosted us for five minutes. I had to walk up to the bar and ask for a plate and a refill for my son.
We ordered the chips and salsa and white queso dip. Half the chips were nickel/quarter sized (pictured). Are we suppose to eat them with a spoon? What are we doing, Mr. Chili?
The white queso dip wasn't very good, but that may be a preference thing.
At the next booth was an uncleared table and a big bag of Raisin' Canes (pictured) for some reason. It stayed there the whole time. Other tables nearby also were uncleared and just sitting there, like we were eating in at a Chilis that was suddenly evacuated. Hence the 1 star for 'atmosphere'.
Tyler our server was nice enough, I'd rather he was a little more attentive and realized people need plates to consume food. It wasn't even busy, which I guess was why they weren't clearing tables.
I think today was the last time I will ever eat at a Chili's. It's like the McDonalds of sit down dining. Like if BJs had an outlet location.
I get it if you're in Scranton or somewhere then Chili's might be it, but this is Daygo, pimpin', we have better options for a similar price.
My son also wants to add that their crayons are...
