Duff's Doggz — Restaurant in San Diego

There were 14 emails, two of which contained the address for the event days prior. This was also included in their Catering Request form on their website. It was never communicated that an order for 25 hotdogs was not qualified as a catering order in their view. Describing my experience as "disseminating inaccurate information" drives home the point that Duff's lacks the professionalism to operate a customer-facing business, let alone partner with other businesses in San Diego.

Reason for 1 Star Review: After an extremely difficult and frustrating Catering Experience, the in-person interaction solidified Duff’s would make no attempt to make the situation right or treat the customer with respect or courtesy.

To start, Duff’s Doggz advertises that they offer catering services. I contracted those services and was confirmed for my event date weeks before the event. Shortly after, Duff’s contacted me again to say they already had a booking that day. I understood, and offered to pick up the order, and was provided with an alternative option:

I was referred, by a Duff’s representative, to use DoorDash for the delivery. After a grueling back and forth phone/email/chat experience with Duff’s and DoorDash; on the Day-Of the event, I still had to pick up the order.

The final straw was even after all these negative experiences, I would expect Duff’s to apologize for the lack of communication and for the experience with DoorDash (that they referred and chose to partner with), but I was met with disrespectful counter staff, Below-Costco-Grade Hot Dogs, and a giveaway-lunchbox filled with a single free hotdog coupon. This is not an acceptable consolation with the amount of finger-pointing chaos that this establishment’s operational decision-making created for our corporate event.

Duffs Doggz is a cool little hot dog stand in the Home Depot parking lot, offering some delicious hot dogs that are sure to satisfy your taste buds. After a morning of surfing at the beach, my craving for hot dogs led me to this hidden gem, and I was not disappointed.

Parking was a breeze, and despite a decent line, the service was nothing short of amazing. The person behind the counter, likely the owner, juggled multiple tasks effortlessly while still taking the time to provide recommendations and explanations of the various dogs on offer. Despite being a one-man show, the food was promptly prepared to perfection.

Now, about the Doggz! Fresh, tender, and juicy, these hot dogs were a true delight. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, with generous portions of heavenly toppings that perfectly complemented the savory hot dogs. The toppings were overflowing, creating a harmonious blend of textures and tastes that left me completely satisfied.

While indulging in these delectable treats may not be the healthiest choice, they certainly hit the spot for anyone craving something deliciously indulgent. Despite the undeniable "junk food" appeal, the prices are reasonable considering the size and quality of the hot dogs.

The hot dogs were great, and the staff was friendly, BUT they

Came Late Left early (an hour early) Did not bring the drink Over charged us

The original price ($400) was for unlimited hot dogs and a gallon worth of drink for 50 people for three hours of service.

We were originally expecting more people, but the owner had said that he would work with us on the price and keep everything tentative.

We ended up not even having 50 people, they came about 10 min late and was not ready for service until 2:30!!

They left at 4 pm, instead of 5 pm and charged us $450!!!

I mean don't get my wrong, the hot dogs were amazing, but I felt like we got ripped off!!!

I would not suggest tentatively booking anything with this company, because I felt we were taken advantage of at my baby shower!!

Make sure you have all your ducks in a row with them before they come, tentatively planning, insured that we were ripped off!!!
