everbowl — Restaurant in San Diego

I only started eating acai bowls this past year and I found everbowl while trying to find the best bowls in my area. Out of the 4 different bowl places, Everbowl is has down my favorite. "On a Date" is surprisingly better than ice cream to me :) The staff is just adorable. Always friendly, always smiling, always giving you their full attention no matter how busy they are. And they do get busy, yet they stay on the ball and give everyone the same great service. The Bowls are amazing. Fresh, great tasting, natural ingredients and they are also good on your wallet. Other bowl places charged $1 to $2 more a bowl, and they have a rewards program. $2 off after a certain amount of bowls. I've already used my $2 off twice and I just started going in Oct. All in all a great atmosphere, great food and great service. And if you like acai bowls and PB you have to try "On a Date" honestly like the best thing since ice cream. I just got 2, one for my Thanksgiving...

I got a medium acai bowl but the server today didn't really fill the bowl. its 12+ bucks for like less than 2 cups of food, and they're stingier, it's just bad. I've been comming to everbowl for years so when I mentioned she didnt fill up the bowl like the other locations, she said "that's just what we're told to portion. I'm sorry... I don't decide the portions." She even suggested it was my fault for NOT requesting more toppings. "You saw me put toppings on, you could have said something".

I can afford 12 bucks trust me...but don't imply I'm poor and trying to avoid ordering a large. Thats awful and gives health food the bad rap it gets for being for priveleged rich folks.

To have to put up with both bad value and customer service today is truly...

Food was great!

Price is good for the content, most acai bowls cost more than this place. From what I've seen.

Downside: Parked, only car in the lot, right in front. Employee was in the front, looking at us as we parked and got out. We walk in, she's no where to be seen. Promptly wait 3 minutes for her to walk out from the back again.

Another customer comes in, and immediately goes to the register (only one employee), blocking the register area, forcing my wife to say "excuse me" so she could pay.

Fruit was clearly not fresh, but rather slowly defrosting frozen fruit. Most of our strawberries were still hard with...
