Absolutely love how this boba shop is away from the crowded areas of Convoy, and provides a nice area for people to hang out and/or work at. I've yet to get a bad drink from this place, and they're always super consistent which is hard for a lot of boba shops!

PARKING - Shares a parking lot with other businesses, but I've always gotten a parking spot here with no problem.

SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - The staff is always so welcoming and friendly. The owner/manager, Tiffany, is so sweet and always ensures the drinks are up to customers' standards. She truly is one of the best owners I've spoken with whenever I see her here! As mentioned before, the boba shop is a great place for studying/working, or just hanging out with friends.

DRINK/DESSERTS - Osmanthus Oolong Milk Tea ($4.50): BY FAR, hands down my favorite drink here! It's so unique, I don't think I've ever seen this on another boba shop menu in San Diego! There's a perfect balance of floral notes and milky sweetness that combines together so well, and I'm absolutely hooked. You need to try this at least ONCE if you like anything similar to Jasmine or roasted Oolong flavors.

Creme Brulee Dirty Boba ($6.25): The star of many boba shop menus, and it's no different here at Feng Cha. The boba is the right amount of chewiness, and the brown sugar mixes really well into the drink. I'm lactose intolerant so this is very creamy for me, but my friends have said it's delicious!

Strawberry Overload ($5.75): Super refreshing, perfect for a hot summer day! They use real fruit which I love, and this is a staple drink if I'm feeling a fruity option.

Cakes ($6.50 - $6.99): I was not expecting too much as I've had desserts at boba shops before and they were just OK, but WOW Feng Cha turns it up a notch! Their cakes are SUPER fluffy and soft, and they're honestly something I would absolutely consider getting every time I went if it wasn't for health reasons!! I've tried the Tiramisu Treasure and Strawberry Princess and both are delicious. Tiramisu Treasure has a more decadent bite with the cream and chocolate, while the Strawberry Princess has a more light taste with the fresh fruit and jam.

OVERALL - Feng Cha is definitely on my top boba shop list within San Diego as they serve up delicious drinks and desserts and are always consistent! I'm in love with the environment and the staff is always super welcoming. Come check out Feng...

So excited I was able to finally try Feng Cha. I go to the dentist literally in the same complex and saw that they were going to have a soft opening and was able to go on the first day of the soft opening.

First off the teas are really great. I have been in a few more times after the first initial visit and I am NEVER disappointed they are awesome. I would have to say my favorite drink would have to be the strawberry overload with cheese foam (which is the best thing ever created by the way. I could literally eat a whole cup of that) with boba. It literally taste like strawberry cheesecake.

I also tried the cakes. I had the strawberry princess and the Oreo cheese. I absolutely love Oreos so have to say that one was my absolute favorite. Previously seen in another post that they look like the soufflé pancakes even though not advertised as soufflé pancakes do not let that convince you not to try. They are not similar but the cakes are SOOOO YUMMYYYY!!!! I definitely would recommend them. The foam with the mixture of the toppings is the best!!!!!!!!!!

The staff by the way was the absolute best. Super friendly and helpful and willing to recommend and help out with suggestions. Always nice to go to a place with great customer service and friendly people who work there. The atmosphere is great. It is very laid back and relaxed which is so nice. It is a great place to get together with group of friends or just to read a book or get some work done. I absolutely love the plants they have and the aesthetics of the entire place. It is very welcoming and warm. This has is by far my favorite teashop to go to and will be going...

Food: 3.5/5 Service and Setting: 3/5 Value: 2.5/5

Feng Cha has been aggressively advertising to me, so I guess it is my time to review them. Located a bit away from the hustle and bustle of Convoy, Feng Cha has plenty of parking. The interior of the shop is clean and dare I say, aesthetic. The seating is not overly cramped and overall comfortable. While everything looked good, the service was very odd. The workers looked at us blankly and did not really explain the menu well. I love carbonated beverages so when I saw that option, I jumped at it without being told that tea would be replaced with carbonated water. I don’t have a better way to put it, but the workers were very awkward and made my visit a bit unwelcoming. If I needed to study or work, I would come here for practical reasons but the drinks and vibes are lackluster.

Fresh Lemon Black Tea with Carbonated Water: 4/5 Is it hard to make carbonated tea? Does it taste bad? I guess I will never find out. I will say, other than the lack of communication, the drink was quite good. I like my drinks on the sweeter end so this tasted like a well-made lemonade; sweet with the distinct aroma of lemon without any edge of synthetic flavors or bitterness. Also, people just don’t put enough bubbles. I want McDonald’s Sprite level of carbonation While it was good, being priced like tea feels bad and I’m sure the tea would be fantastic....

Their strawberry breeze tastes like a smoothie which is interesting, and it comes with lychee jelly already. It was described as a "slush" or something when I asked, so I thought it was like a slushie with crushed ice, and now I want to try drinking a slushie with boba in it. It seems people use the place as a study spot. The boba colors are aesthetic. A number of events at UCSD get free boba from this franchise and it's pretty good, better than Tapex at least. Their cups are interesting, like hard plastic, and tall.

The day I went here, I felt really bad for the staff. It was a weekend, there was only 2 employees working. And they were SLAMMMED. Customers were complaining that things took long, but I had nothing to do, so I waited in line and tried it out. I'm glad I waited, the drink I received was nothing short of yum. Even though they were rushing and slamming, the drink tasted good and the boba was soft & chewy, perfect. I would definitely come back and try more of their treats! @phidingthefam
