In all fairness, I would give them 3.5 stars, if I had the option. I've been to this location at least a half dozen times. Overall, they do make good Carne Asada burritos and Carne Asada Quesadillas however; there isn't much consistency, so it may be a "hit or miss."
The steak does have a good, juicy flavor, most times, as the Fresh Salsa and Guacamole are well enjoyed, when they are noticeable. Burritos & Chimichangas may be small or large, depending on who's there and how busy they are. At times, you may get quarter size Onion, Tomato or Cilantro pieces, in your fresh salsa yet the taste of their Fresh Pico salsa is still good. The texture of the Carne Asada is tougher than other Mexican food shops but it definately is tastier than other locations in the area. Mostly, there is a bit of a wait, if you're driving but they have two pick up windows, one on each side. Also, they send order-waiters outside, to help dissipate the long lines, that acrue often times, during earlier daylight or evening hours.
At night, there is a lot of sketchy neighborhood activity going on though, in the drive thru lot, attached sidewalks and the general parking area, not to mention transients and "social workers" as well as "salesman."
The locals seem to be well at home, even when making a foot line, to order because they don't arrive in their cars. Decent Mexican food for late night and prices are still pretty low, they have not rocketed up, like other Mexican...
Read moreI’ve been eating here for a solid three years buying breakfast burritos. If I’m lying lord strike me down I swear to you 4 out of 10 they under cook their bacon it’s still raw. Just because your busy is no excuse and I know some guys fresh from the boarder get down like that so maybe it’s a culture thing. Idk but all the other places don’t do this. I have pictures from different meta data time stamps to prove it. Change this practice asap. It’s always the big guy and dude who was working yesterday 10-29-22 in the evening shift.
Lol. And on the second day not only have they did it again, but this breakfast burrito is three times smaller the usual. Health inspector should double check this place or BBB. Who knows…
Update. 06/20/25 Salsa with big ass pieces of onion uncooked fries and even less bacon. My god please stop while you’re ahead. Your original recipe was solid all you got to do is not rush and actually cook the fries and bacon. SOLID GOD TEIR BREAKFAST BURRITO. If you can’t do that and move on to this mess trying to find your lost voice. You’re going to crash and burn. I have hemorrhoids and I sacrifice my ass literally just to taste your amazing burrito with habanero sauce just to be served this new abomination. The old ways sometimes are just the try and...
Read morewould give zero stars if i could, Super rude workers, i went with my boyfriend and we got carne asada fries and everything was fine. placed a separate order for carne asada fries for my brother (misleading menu, the top one says the fries are $15.50 and then below is says they’re $18 since they come with everything, not sure why they wouldn’t already come with everything) so i had to cancel the fries since my brother could only pay 15. asked if we could instead get the burrito and they said no so we went back in line (long line) and ordered the burrito. the lady at the cashier said it would take too long as the worker in the background said in spanish that the fries were there if we wanted to pay for them. so they denied making the food after we waited 10 minutes in line. very immature and rude would not recommend. spend your money elsewhere. the filiberto’s in linda vista is much better! better prices and the workers are professional and kind. honestly i have never been to a place with workers as rude as that. crazy experience could not believe it. don’t come here, go to the other...
