To start, I REALLY wanted to love this place. It’s close to where we live and we frequent sushi next door all the time.
Upon arrival, the restaurant was maybe at 35% capacity. The hostess walked by us 3 times not saying anything, on the 4th time she walked by I asked, “I’m sorry do we seat ourselves?” Thinking we must since she didn’t acknowledge our existence despite walking 2 feet from us.
Then it took 6 min to get menus, another 5 for water. By the time we finally ordered, we’d already been there for 30 minutes. Our meals then took another 45 minutes. They didn’t visit our table to check on us or refill our water during that time. Everyone just sort of lingered by the front desk. Each of the other 4 tables that had been in the restaurant at the same time had to get up to request their checks and/or to-go boxes and everyone eventually got tired of waiting and simply got up and paid at the front despite it being a tableside establishment.
Now for the food:
We ordered the Chicken Nirvana, described as Onions, bell peppers, spices, coconut milk. There was not a single onion or bell pepper. The sauce itself was tasty but the dish did not come as described. There were no vegetables at all.
Next, the butter chicken, this was delicious.
The garlic naan was also delicious. The cheese naan was too salty.
The other aspect that marred this meal was the rice. Very dry.
As the rest of the patrons, we left our remaining food on the table out of frustration and walked ourselves to the front counter to pay. Perhaps they’re working out new kinks but we were disappointed 😕
Perhaps we’ll try again in a few months but it’ll definitely be takeout. That service...
Read moreWe had a family dinner at Indya last night. Food and service were excellent. We tried a few appetizers like the naan bruschetta, the pani puri and the aloo tikki. I cannot pick the best one. They were all so delicious, fresh and tasty. We tried three different naans and each one was so different, but outstanding. I ate the butter chicken for an entree and it was creamy, perfectly seasoned without being spicy and so yummy. I can highly recommend this new restaurant. Give it a try. You won’t be...
Read moreHad a great experience here! The naan bruschetta was fresh and flavorful, with warm, crispy bread and perfectly seasoned tomatoes. The samosas were golden and flaky, served with delicious chutneys that complemented them really well.
The ambience made the visit even better, cozy outdoor seating, soft lighting, and a lovely fountain and fire feature that created a calm, relaxing vibe. It’s a perfect spot to unwind with good food and great company. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re...
