I used to go to the old location when I worked down the street off Morena . I usually always went for the chicken wings and the meatball trio. The meatball trio had three meatballs with three different sauces and it was so good and of course the wings kept me coming back because they are the best in town!!!! I haven’t been to the new location even though it’s been open a while. I was planning on going somewhere else next door for dinner tonight but I thought I would give it a shot since it’s been a while. I was sad to see they no longer offer the meatball trio but I got the meatballs marinara that they now offer. Just not the same. I have to be honest I wasn’t impressed with the meatballs at all. They were more like meat patties and not packed with flavor.Kind of reminded me of Costco crockpot meatballs but flatter. The wings are just like I remember and they did not disappoint so I’m glad I came since it’s been years since I’ve have the wings. My server was very nice and attentive but the meatballs really disappointed. Overall $15 for chicken wings and $12 for meatballs cost me more money than it would have to get what I was originally planning on getting next-door. $15 for wings, definitely worth it just for the flavor! The meatballs, not so much. If I’m ever craving the wings again I’ll be back but only for the wings. I asked for the containers for the leftovers but I decided to just leave them. Honestly probably would taste even...
Read moreYou wouldn't know it from the outside, but this is an awesome little restaurant/pizza place stuck inside a strip mall.
The décor is very warm and inviting... The bar has a nostalgic 50's feel to it, and the furniture inside is modern and comfortable.
We didn't eat on the beer garden outside but I glanced at it and it looked just as nice.
The food was absolutely top-notch. I could tell the chef took pride in his work. Everything tasted wonderful. I highly recommend a pizza, whether it's a pre-selected one or a build-your-own. According to one of the servers, the flour is imported straight from Italy so the dough is very fresh and has a distinct Italian flavor to it. They also mentioned growing some fruits or vegetables outside on-premise and using them when they ripened in their cooking, which is something very few restaurants bother to do, so I was impressed by that, too.
The craft beer selection was impressive, for a place such as this. They even had a hard cider to choose from, which is somewhat rare.
The wait staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, the service was good (no complaints, no mix-ups or mistakes). And for what we got, the price was good, too.
I highly recommend this pace if you're looking for a great pizza or just a great...
Read moreCame here at the suggestion of a friend since his daughter is a pasta lover.
We got the brussels sprouts, the cheesy chicken pesto pasta, the buona terra pizza (a white pie; garlic, mushrooms, onions, asiago, gorgonzola, ricotta) and the kitchen sink (pepperoni, italian sausage, bacon, pineapple, jalapeño & mushroom). The guys got a few beers as well. If they could have agreed on a beer, they would have opted for a pitcher, which is a pretty good deal during happy hour.
Everything was really good! We devoured the brussels sprouts, which had a ton of bacon and were well cooked. The pasta was tasty and came with bread that was the basis for the pizza dough.
We definitely enjoyed the pizzas. The dough was great! I don't always eat the crust when I get pizza, but here I definitely did.
I think we were served by the owner, who was really friendly and kind, and offered a ton of great suggestions. If I weren't the only one who had a sweet tooth, we would have tried the dessert....
