Jack in the Box — Restaurant in San Diego

This is about the lady working the drive-thru at 5:58pm. Sunday 09/28/25. Someone please tell her she better fix her attitude.

Immediately rude when I started speaking. I placed a mobile order, forgot I was logged in to my partner’s account, gave the wrong name. Totally my bad. She tells me the name of the only mobile order she has, so I say “yes it’s that one, sorry bout that.” She says “what’s in it then?” AS I am telling her what’s in it to show it’s my order because of course the name thing seemed sketchy. So I start over, tell her exactly what it is. Kid’s meal with a diet coke, 4pc nuggets, 5pc churro. She insists the order has a kids meal but no nuggets. Like what? So as I’m continuing the rest of the order she cuts me off to say “see you at the window.” Probably because she found the ability to read saw I wasn’t lying, so she looks stupid now.

Now instead of actually meeting at the window she sends a sweet guy up instead, seems like a new hire who was chill. She should be glad she didn’t come to the window because I was for sure going to put my phone in her face to rub in the fact she was needlessly rude AND wrong. But she continues to give attitude to him/about me from the back when I confirm whether the nuggets were in the bag as well, since that was the only item he didn’t mention was in the bag and she had said earlier they weren’t in my order. They were in the bag, everything was fine. Whatever.

I have been in customer service for 8 years, most of that being food service including McDonald’s. That’s not how you talk to customers. If you’re suspicious, you ask them to go to the window and show their order screen. Could’ve saved time and effort but she wanted to do the most. I’ve worked management and in my restaurants, she would’ve been gone if that’s how she always acts. I would recommend firing her but she’s probably a single mom so she definitely needs the money. Just hoping she reads this so she can treat these situations differently in the future so she doesn’t keep getting...

I had a mobile order here and received a completely wrong order. I was missing items, had spicy items when they should’ve been regular etc. I called to complain and Sarah said to come in to remake the combos and she would even upgrade my Oreo shake to a large since they accidentally gave me a strawberry shake. We went there and Karen (literally her name) walks out and says “we already gave you a breakfast jack” I clarified that the entire combo was missing besides the breakfast jack (I knew she was going to be a problem from then on). I explain everything that was missing/wrong with my order and she proceeds to go inside and fix it. When she came out, I informed her Sarah had told me she would upgrade my Oreo shake to a large because of the inconvenience. She said aggressively “it says regular on the order” I asked to get Sarah and she said “Sarah is busy, she isn’t the manager I am”. Then proceeds to say “You have all your free food, we can’t give you more” WHAT?! How is it free WHEN I PAID FOR THE FOOD IN THE FIRST PLACE? You guys just messed it up! And even after everything, she STILL forgot my sprite! Overall she was super rude and I don’t recommend this jack in the box at all! Sarah was amazing though and should be...

The food is always on point. I have to give them credit for that, looks just like the menu picture of items. Take just like it is suppose to taste. Never once I had to go back for them to fix my item because I added or took off something from my meal. Food is always fresh and fast, either you are in Drive-Thru or Dining in. Always extremely clean feels very santized, including the restrooms always stocked and listen to music while using the facilities. Only down side is, the customer service from a few of the female employees are extremely just rude and with an attitude. I shocked they are still even working at this store, for as long as I have been dealing with them. I would have thought they would have been let go by now for sure, or maybe it could be just us they have an attitude with, just trying to even request some taco sauce when handed our order. But if u happen to get one of the gentlemen to take your order, expect nothing but great service from them. They are friendly, fast, always smiling, great customer service helpful with actually take the few seconds to hear what you are saying. Appreciate the candid and respectful demeanor.
