JP's Pub — Restaurant in San Diego

I ordered $78+ worth of food. Unfortunately it took me longer than 15 minutes to pick up the order. When we arrived, it was to discover the food had been given away for free to bar patrons. Asked to have order remade. Darren laughed, and said it would be extra. Poor service. Darren was rude. No offer to help. Avoid ordering unless you can be there within 15 minutes. This establishment is understaffed, and has servers that have no concept of customer service. Darren was the man who answered the phone, took orders, and was also the bartender. Do not give your money to JP’s Pub. I will never go there again.

Update: The response below from the owner reflects lack of respect to people that have valid reasons why it took 45 (not 60) minutes instead of 15 minuets to pick up the order. It would have been my fault to eat “soggy food” as was given the reason why the food was given away. The order could have been remade, and paid for. An extra charge shouldn’t have even been said. I love it when owners try to blame their poor business practices on the customer. Regardless, never “assume”. This experience could have been turned into a positive one, instead of laughing at the customer and embarrassing them. Not a good way to conduct business. I am local to the bar and decided to have my birthday party here. I called today because it was for tomorrow and spoke to a manager named Darin. I let him know we would have 20 or 30 people and I would be in about 5 pm to save some tables. He said, "no that's too many people and you will take up too many tables." I thought he was joking. I asked, "are you seriously telling me that because it's a busy night for you that my party of 20 to 30 people who are heavy drinkers and will be there for hours are not welcome?" He said, "well you'd leave no other tables for others." Wow....just WOW. Then he proceeds to tell me that he will do a room charge for me for $10/head. Oh so you do have the room and now want to charge us additionally bc we chose this location? Again, WOW. When I told him that I would call the owner back sometime and I would make sure this goes viral, he said, "oh ok." And hung up on me.

Been coming here for years now. It’s the local “cheers” bar in Tierrasanta where every one knows your name ... the drinks are cheap here! $3.50 well drinks and many beers to choose from - draft or bottle. They have mini pitchers which is the way to go. Good bar food .. $2.00 taco Tuesdays and 50 cent wings on Thursdays. Their burgers are the best. The crowd here can vary depending on the time of day. Most of the locals from the neighborhood are here earlier in the day through happy hour. (Happy hour is 7 am - 7 pm). They are a special group of really nice people ranging from early 20’s up to 85 yo! After 8 pm is when the much younger crowd files in. They have a band every Friday night with no cover. Pool tables, dart board and music!! Weekends used to be for football and was a blast but sadly they decided not to renew their football package so you’re stuck watching whatever happens to be televised on a local channel.
