Went to the Sunny Spa and had a wonderful experience. The receptionist was friendly (don't recall her name). The place is nice and clean. It is a single hallway that leads back into the rooms on both sides. I liked the fact that the table in the room I was taken to was a little wider than many other places I have gone. With having wider shoulders, I like the extra space of a wider table.
Cassie was my massage person and is very wonderful at what she does. She used a combination of hands, arms and even kneeling. It is almost a combination of Swedish, Lomi Lomi and Thia. She had a good feel for what areas needed more work. She was very careful with my bad knee, to make sure no pressure or movements were hurting it. I left very refreshed and relaxed. I highly recommend her.
In leaving I was talking to her and the receptionist and I guess they recently took over this location. There have been bad reviews from before they owned it but they hope to be able to overcome these and have people find it is a very nice place.
A couple things I want to note to anyone going to these lower cost massage places. First, be respectful and nice. You will find they will respond to you better than when you have an attitude. Second and more important, tip well. A $40 massage is no less work than a place charging $80+. If you go to one of the higher priced places, are you only going to tip $10? Come on! I find that tipping half what the cost of these lower price massage places charge will make your masseuse happy and they remember you. When you come back, they will treat you like a king. Remember at $40 an hour, the masseuse is not making that. They are likely getting closer to $15 an hour. The rest goes into covering overhead of the location. You have someone that is giving your full attention for an hour or longer. Don't be a cheap ass Charlie and tip bad.
Also, to note, since I saw this in a review, in the room I was in, there was no way for someone to change the clock time. It was mounted higher then I would have been able to easily changed and the girls there were in the 5'5" height range. I got my full time, no issues.
I will be back to Sunny Spa. Thanks for a...
Read moreI went in for the Foot Massage expecting just my feet to be massaged. I was clothed in a tank top and yoga pants. The gentleman I had started with placing my feet in a bowl of hot water to soak, and then he began the best scalp massage that I have ever experienced! He moved on to my arms and neck. After that, he asked me to turn over and massaged my shoulders, back and legs over the top of the towel that was covering me. Amazing! When he finally began massaging my feet, he took such good care with every inch, and I mean every inch of each foot. Heaven. The total "Foot Massage" was an hour! I am definetly coming back and will tell...
Read moreI went to get 30 mins massage with my husband the massage was ok but she does really quick move because we only have half an hour. The place is clean but hot I guess they didn’t turn the air-con on and I wasn’t complaining becsuse I was only there for 30 mins. The main thing is the massage lady was really rude to me. Right after I came out the room she gave me water and said ‘No tip?’ Of cause we gave a tip but wanted to give 20% which is $16 and gave them a $20. She said just give us $10 each because she doesn’t has change. Since it wasn’t good i felt 20% was sufficient. They eventually gave us change which they...
